Claim your spot among the magnificent oaks and cedars, hidden in a serene spot among a field of wildflowers, or set up camp next to peaceful pond. Whether you are looking for a primitive, private spot in the forest, or have a whole group that you are bringing with you, we have the perfect setting. We have several spots that will comfortably accommodate several tents. The choices are endless when you visit our 45-acre organic farm.
Our property abounds with local flora and fauna. It's a bird-watchers paradise and a nature-lover's Nirvana! We have identified over 75 edible and medicinal native plants that we love to share with others. Feel free to gather nuts, berries and herbs to add to your meal during your stay! The owner, Tamara, is a certified Herbalist and is always happy to help with identifying plants that grace our farm.
We don't have Wi-fi available to guests, but AT&T, US Cellular, and Verizon customers have no problem with cell phone signal.
None of our campsites have water or electric, but guests are welcome to fill water containers from our cold, delicious well. There is electric available in the communal area for those that need it.
Spend your day exploring the woods, fishing on the pond, or simply relaxing at your campsite or communal area. There is plenty of wildlife to be seen for those with the patience to wait for it. It is quite common to see deer and turkey just outside our windows. We have several outdoor games set up for guest-use, as well as a wide selection of board and card games that you are welcome to take to your camp site for the duration of your visit. Forget your favorite book? No worries! We have hundreds of books in all genres that we are happy to let you borrow while you are here.
If you are itching to explore a bit of the beautiful Missouri Ozarks, you will find plenty to do within an hour of our farm. Take a drive to experience some of the crystal clear, spring-fed rivers that are perfect for floating, swimming, or just hanging out. Head off to one of the beautiful State Parks like Lane Springs, Montauk, or Echo Bluffs. Spend hours perusing the many indoor antiques malls and flea markets. Miles of gravel roads offer the perfect place for bike-riding or horseback riding. The possibilities are endless and we are happy to offer suggestions for some of the best local entertainment available! We are less than 30 minutes from Ft. Leonard Wood Army Base, Missouri S&T College, St. James Winery trail and much more!
We happily allow you to join us for breakfast and dinner for an additional fee. Keep in mind that you will likely be eating locally grown foods that are not subject to government approval. Venison, turkey, pork and beef are frequent dinner options. Homemade jams and jellies, organic fruits and veggies, raw milk and real butter are staples. Fresh baked cakes, cookies and other sweets are regulars at our table, too. Coffee, herbal tea, and other beverages are always free at the main house.
Hunting season is a big deal in the Ozarks and we support ethical hunting practices. If you are a hunter, this is a fantastic place to bag the big one! Our farm is overflowing with turkey, deer, and a whole host of small game like rabbit and squirrel. Hunting is only available during proper seasons and with pre-approval from the owners. Must have valid hunting Missouri hunting license, and proper, legal hunting gear.
