Sudden Valley Ranch is a peaceful paradise.  This is a family farm - 138 acres with 1.5 miles of creek (the depth of the creek depends on Mother Nature - but you can typically find a swimming hole year round).  There are woods, hills, ridges and open pastures/hay fields; we sit in a large valley with beautiful views.  We have horses, chickens, 2 farm dogs and barn cats.  We have a large seasonal garden.  You may see wild life - deer, turkey, rabbits, hawks, eagles and raccoons.

We offer 2 rustic tent campsites that are separate and private from our home and each other.  You may easily walk or drive to the campsites.  Each campsite has a private outhouse, and a fire ring with an ample supply of wood.  You have access to fresh well water through a spigot.  We have a four-man tent available for a fee.  Ticks are a concern during the month of June - you may want to bring bug spray.

Warrenton is located about 30 miles north of Washington, Missouri.  Washington is a quaint town located on the Missouri River with several wineries in the surrounding area.  We are also about 24 miles north of Marthasville where you can ride the Katy Trail.  Hermann, Missouri is 34 miles southwest of us - another quaint town whose seven wineries produce about one-third of the state's wine. Big Joel's Safari and Long Row Lavender farm are both located in Wright City less than 10 miles away.

Come and relax, read a book, draw/sketch/paint, or simply let the sounds of nature lull you to sleep.  We believe you will leave rejuvenated!

Randy and Melissa are fantastic host's and their property is absolutely wonderful! The site is secluded at the the top of a hill on the property and is set up for great camping...They even stocked it with a few essentials and provided a map of the property!!! The kids had a great time feeding the horses and checking out the creek....we will definitely be back! Host's like Randy and Melissa really make Hipcamp great and were exactly what we were hoping for when we signed up

This is a beautiful property, even more gorgeous than the photos do it justice! The creek is really close to camp site and easy to walk around. They offer pots and pans to cook with and provide TP. I would definitely recommend and return.

This was a fantastic camping spot and we loved staying there. Randy provided us with plenty of firewood and we had every other amenity we needed. We didn't forget anything but if we had, I have no doubt that Randy would have taken care of us. The property is beautiful and we had a great time walking down to the creek and relaxing in the water for a few hours. I would highly recommend, just don't forget the bug spray!

We has an absolutely amazing time camping here! It was completely private set away from anyone else yet close enough to walk everywhere, explore, and take in the beauty of the property. Randy and Milissa went above and beyond our expectations with their hospitality. The property is a little slice of heaven.
