Fantastic! Took the family to Sparks Landing this weekend and knocked Kayaking off the bucket list (we'll be doing it again!) We were amazed to find this relatively local yet hidden jewel. Indian Creek was pristine and perfect for our first Kayaking journey; the feeder springs were fascinating. The amenities were well maintained; the solar shower and toiletries, the fire pit, the outside dining and camping areas were all pristine and much more accommodating than we anticipated. Although we didn't see any bald eagles this trip we did see several other avian species including blue herring. For those that enjoy star-gazing this was a perfect location.
Can't wait to visit again when the leaves have turned to Fall colors!
Nanda was an amazing hostess and the site was so much more than we ever could have expected. Every amenity that we could have wanted was provided, except the tent of course. :) There is so much for a family to do there that we wished we had stayed more than the two days we had. From the kayak and tubes to play on the water, the guided hike up to Indian Springs, a gorgeous blue swimming hole, more lightning bugs than I've ever seen in one place, and a fire pit that was perfect for hot dogs and s'mores. This is such a beautiful place with a fun, friendly, amazing hostess... we will definitely be back.
Great hosts and a lovely place to camp. The amenties like the camp kitchen, sun shower, and the convenient potty facilities made "roughing it" easy with our large family. The extras touches were very nice. This is a wonderful, affordable getaway for nature lovers.
