Need a safe, quiet escape that's not too far from Interstate 70? Travelers frequently use our tent sites on long trips to be safe from COVID exposure. There are few shared surfaces and plenty of airflow.  Want a premium exclusive location for your group with no other campers?  If you are the first to sign up we can block the other sites to give full privacy at the area. (***stipulations apply...see below) We are supportive host that can reassure you about directions, resources, and what to expect.

This area provides a Missouri Ozark border region "Front Porch Experience".     There are no artificial lights, so views of the sky are very good.  There are country sounds like birds, coyotes, horses, frogs, and occasionally a vehicle on the gravel road. If you have a group of friends and family that want exclusive use of the area that may be possible.  Just contact us and we can work out the details.

In addition to camping, you can walk a trail or canopied gravel road to stretch your legs.  Feeling adventurous? One mile to the north, there is a old iron bridge that is closed to vehicle traffic. It has a plank floor with some missing planks.  Locals fish from it. It is a great place to take artsy pictures.  You can walk, bike, or ride your horse on our county road. The WORLD famous Katy Trail is a biking/walking trail that was re-purposed from a railway. It is about a 15-20 minute drive away.  A local chef ( 8 miles away) makes THE BEST carry out pizza on friday and saturday nights.  About 20 minutes away in Boonville with many dining option, and Columbia of course has everything.  There is fishing available from  public ground at the Petite Saline creek. The stream is quiet, slow backwater whose level depends on the Missouri River level.  Access is not ideal, but determined canoers and kayakers will enjoy the rich biological diversity including jumping Silver Carp.

This space was private and beautiful. It was lovely to wake up to the snickering of horses. Fire ring and wood were helpful. It was nice to have a hose available.

This was my first time using Hipcamp and I was not sure what to expect, but my night at Doug and Brenda's exceeded my expectations! They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed, and took the time to explain about their horses and even hooked us up with some fireword for the night! I 10/10 would recommend. Incredibly beautiful place and people.

This was my second time staying at Selby Farm, and it was just as enjoyable and relaxing as the first time! The camping field is clean, safe, and beautiful, with ample space for my dog to romp freely. I especially appreciate the convenience of the water pump, which includes a long hose as well as a connection to a little counter/sink set-up. There are several firepits and a supply of fire wood, a clean port-a-potty, and a trash receptacle. This is a great place to stay on a cross-country road trip!

The hosts were so accommodating. They even had a long cord so we could hook up to the electricity. Thank you so much!

I highly recommend this private campsite to every camper. During our stay the moonlight was bright, the stars were brilliant, and the night noises peaceful.

Gorgeous farm. Doug and Brenda came to say hello and make sure the other 2 guests and myself had everything we needed. I really appreciated the sink table for ease of getting water. I will make this a “must stay” again place!
