Enjoy a peaceful stay within walking distance of Dillard Mill. Relax on your own private deck, fire up the grill, or take in the view with the outdoor claw foot tub/shower. Finish the evening around your own campfire. Sleeps up to 2. Self Check-In available.

The space

The Airstream is set away from the main house. The location is shared with another RV, but they are spaced generously to provide a private, secluded feel. Attached to the Airstream is a private deck with a view. Included on the deck is an outdoor claw foot tub/shower w/ hot water (no shower inside Airstream), BBQ grill, and bench/sitting area and outdoor dining table and two chairs. Inside the Airstream you'll find a Queen size bed, small kitchen, half bath and sitting area. The kitchenette includes a microwave, small fridge, toaster oven, electric skillet, coffee maker, and necessary kitchen and grilling amenities. The space has an AC unit and electric space heater. We've included a TV with a small collection of DVDs for your entertainment. There is WiFi available near the main house.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the 40 acres of land surrounding them. If you venture past the gates, watch out for the cows! There are two ponds on the premise for fishing. Enjoy the quarter-mile walk to the old Dillard Mill Store, displayed in museum fashion at the entrance of Dillard Mill State Historic Site. Tour the old grist mill in working form, fish for sunfish, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass at the Mill, and take memorable photos.Just across from our main entrance take the half-mile trail through Mark Twain National Forest and skip rocks on the Huzzah Creek!

Interaction with guests

We may or may not be on the premise. If there are any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.

Other things to note

While this space provides most utilities and amenities you'd find at your home, it is important to note is still a camping-style getaway. We do our best to treat the area, but you will encounter insects.

AT&T has limited cell phone reception in the area, Sprint is very spotty, and Verizon is pretty much unavailable for service. We provide the best free wifi available to help with communication back to the real world, but it is rather slow. The best wifi reception is near the Cottage/Main House. You may see different wifi networks around the property. The password will be the same for all of them.

We try and keep the area well maintained. You may see ATVs/tractors on our property and on the gravel road.

Pets are welcome for an extra $50 per stay. Please note our dogs may be on the property. They are friendly and well-behaved, although sometimes curious. Other guests may have no-leash pets as well.  We provide pet beds for animal's comfort as well.

The experience at the airstream went above and beyond my expectations. The deck is beautifully built. While taking a hot bath, you can admire nature at its finest with miles of hills and wildlife. Upon entering the airstream, everything was tidy and fresh. What the hosts provided was enough to be comfortable and elevate the time spent inside. On a side note, the queen bed in the airstream is super comfy and will put you right to sleep. The firewood was plentiful, and when you are sitting around the campfire at night, you might be lucky to hear a cow bellow. It was immensely private with curtains and being on the edge of Pine Valley. Being that it was on the edge, there is immediate access to the cow field, trails, and a couple ponds. By the airstream is a state park that is perfect to stroll in and admire the historical mill. The wildlife that can be found include otters and live crawfish. It is also useful that a small town is located not too far away. I would definitely recommend to anyone intetested to stay here. We might make this an annual trip!! The only thing we disliked was not booking longer.

We had a wonderful stay in the Airstream. Property is lovingly maintained with hiking paths, cow pasture and a short walk to both the Huzzah Creek and Dillard Mill State Park. Jay and family were very friendly and helpful. Just a fantastic weekend all around.

Looked this experience. Went with our two dogs. It was sooo nice not to be required to leash them. As we were packing up we were already trying to figure out the next weekend we can come out again. Thanks for everything, hosts!
