Boutique campground, gorgeous area
The property is absolutely stunning. The lake is peaceful and gorgeous to watch, and the trails offer expansive views. We loved renting the canoe and swimming at the beach. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, hosts were super responsive. It felt like a small, family campground tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the world. The layout of the camp sites in general is a bit odd. Our site (the Family Site) was indeed separate from the rest of the sites (and had amazing views!), but it was on a large sloping hill with no flat areas. Additionally, we were right next to a gated in area with a family tombstone. Not a problem for us, but some people may be uncomfortable with it. We could also hear everything going on at the other camp sites, likely because of the sound traveling on the lake, which made it a bit challenging to sleep at night (we were also there on July 4 weekend). While those aspects were turn-offs for us, it's hard to weigh it against the pristine beauty of the place. Just lovely. We are trying to figure out how to get back if we can figure out a way to mitigate the noise level.
Had a great time!!
First, the bathrooms are GREAT!!!!!!! Nicest ones I've seen so far. Sites are a little close together but we lucked out and got the whole camp to ourselves the first 2 days. We got rained on our last day and they were so nice, gave us paper towels & some garbage bags for free. Will definitely come again.
This place is amazing!! So beyond our expectations! Jonathon was so kind and helpful and the property was magically beautiful. From swimming in the gorgeous lake to hiking the trails on the property to the incredible bath house - camping here was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back!
Fantastic experience for the family
My family had the best time during our stay. I want to say it was horrible so that no one will find out about this gem of a camping location, but that just wouldn't be right! We were already planning a longer stay for next year the first day we arrived. I would highly suggest staying here, but ask you don't tell EVERYONE about our little secret camping spot!
This is the cleanest and safest feeling location I've ever been to! Our hosts were so wonderful!!! Everything is so spread out, that I still felt like I was having a private vacation even though we are sharing the lake. The lake is incredible... So peaceful!! This has quickly become a family favorite spot that we will visit for years to come!!!
Great place to take the family
It's hard to believe people still flock to Crawford County and Osage Beach with campgrounds like this in Missouri. The property was cleaner, more scenic and less spoiled and the staff were friendly and helpful.
