We had a great time on Lizzie’s property! It is easy to access (even with a compact car), and she was at the barn to kindly greet us and show us the lay of the land (with a very cool hand-painted map!). Our dog ran around and explored the area while we made a fire and cooked dinner. We enjoyed the pond and the trails to explore on, but our favorite part of the trip was looking up at the clear, starry sky at night, listening to the wind and coyotes. We will definitely be back again to stay at Jemerson Creek this summer at “Armadillo Holler.” One extra thing that impressed us from our host Lizzie: we are two female campers and really appreciated that she informed us of a man also camping on the property—she wanted to make sure us ladies felt safe, and we did. Thanks, Lizzie!

Lizzie was super helpful in recommending a good campsite for us on her land and made our first camping trip a success! Beautiful campground!
Lizzie was incredible, flexible and welcoming! I would recommend this spot to anyone. Beautiful magical land.
Hart Creek Retreat was awesome. Lizzie was great showing me around on the map and the property was beautiful. Would recommend this site to anyone looking to get away.

This place is really well kept! Lizzie was really helpful and knowledgeable about the place. There were some nice walks around the property. If you bring a dog, watch out for snakes!

Our "party" of 5 stayed on Lizzie's land night for one night for a much needed (quick + safe) adventure. We stayed in the Walnut Grove overlooking the pond. There were two other parties staying on the property but campsites were well spread out. The space works well for car camping (bring all your camping comforts) and can easily fit 2-3 medium-sized tents.

Thank you and come back again!
Our stay at Hart Creek Retreat was amazing. Lizzie very accommodating. Our campsite was secluded and very quiet. We stayed here before biking the Katy Trail. I am very glad that we did. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Thank you John! Come back anytime!
We had a wonderful time! The property has an artsy vibe, is well-maintained for campers, and has enough space for folks to spread out and enjoy nature. We hiked the nearby conservation area, which is just around the corner. For birders, there are LOTS of birds on the property. At night, you'd go to sleep to the sound of the owl and the coyotes. We will be back.

Thank you Deb! You are welcome back anytime!
