Ken has a little slice of heaven for those looking for a safe, beautiful place to car camp. The real star of the show is Ken himself. We got in a little late and being our first camp of the season we forgot a few items. Ken went above and beyond to help us out.
The property itself is set back amongst some really beautiful lush farmland. We car camped by the house and had a view of the lake. In the guest building, Ken has a well-appointed bathroom with a shower and laundry which was unexpected and welcome after a long day of driving.
Sadly, we were just passing through, but I plan on allocating more time for our future visit to really enjoy more of what the property offers.

Gorgeous Animals, Lake, and Land!
Tent camping at Harmony lake, farm, park and playground exceeded my expectations in every way! The wildlife was so gorgeous, we got to witness the beauty of horses, peacocks, chickens, an emu, geese, ducks, cranes, snakes, owls, bats, dogs, cats, and a turtle. We did plenty of fishing off of multiple areas around the lake and we got to go out on the water using a paddle boat they had available for us to use. The restroom and hot shower was super well maintained and very modern. The hosts were outstanding, they are super friendly and so helpful. They did a wonderful job providing us with great experiences and making sure we felt welcome and comfortable throughout the entirety of our stay. I definitely recommend giving this special place a visit! I will for sure be back again given the opportunity!

This was a great place to camp! Check in was super easy, the sites were all well kept, and they were very accommodating on getting us a nixe, quiet spot. The lake was fun, and the peacock that came by was super nice! Made for a nice weekend getaway from KC.

Ken and Joan are amazing host, we always love talking to them. This was our 2nd year going to their campsite and both times our group has had an amazing experience. Seeing the animals and swimming has got to be the best part!

My family and I had a great overnight at Shadow Lake, and Ken and Joan were fantastic hosts! We had an expansive camp site with plenty of room for our teardrop camper and tent. There was tons to do- from swimming and paddling in the lake, playing on the sandy beach, interacting with the animals (including peacocks!!), a basketball and pickle ball court, and much more. The scenery was really peaceful, with lots of nature sightings, including the resident bald eagle and heron paying visits. Lots of nice, thoughtful touches- we especially enjoyed the farm fresh eggs for breakfast, and being able to purchase wood on the spot for our campfires. Great location for adults and kids, unique experience and peaceful location. We are excited to camp here again in the future!!

My main concern from the pictures is that it looked like you might be stacked on top of one another. You're not. There are sites that you really need to walk to, maybe 1000 feet max. But Ken helps if you need. Very nice place. Lots of amenities. Can't ask for a better place.

Harmony Lake - Large RV O Farm Stay
This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The dock for fishing was a hit for the kids and the dang beach. We had fun paddle boating around the pond and the daily visits from the peacocks. The hosts were amazing and very accommodating! It was such a fun time we will be back!

Great location with a menagerie of birds, and farm animals. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Harmony lake is one of those hidden gems that you don’t realize what you’ve got until you compare to some of the other camps in the area.
Easily my family favorite spot that we’ll be coming back to so long as they will have us.
Kenny and Joan took great care of us during our stay and I can highly recommend camping in the grove.

This place is wonderful. It is my second time staying at Harmony Lake. The property is amazing. We had lots of fun playing on the beach, feeding the animals and enjoying the beautiful weather. The service from the hosts Ken and Joan is exceptional. They went above and beyond to help accommodate our weekend family camping trip.

We tent camped here. We will be coming back. The campsites were well kept and the amenities were great. The fishing was also extremely fun for the kids and myself. We had fun in the sandy beach area and the kids didn't want to leave. The camp host was welcoming and helpful. This experience was a 5 out of 5 easily.

Hammocks strung and swaying in the breeze Ken and Joan have a real gem of space in their hands. We were a multi generational group back for our second stay at Harmony lake. In four years the grounds have changed a bit but the hospitality and land is world class.
You won’t find a nicer set of hosts in the county.

What a wonderful place to camp. The land is gorgeous. Ken and JoAnn have themselves a beautiful property and we were very impressed. Lots birds including their own peacocks 🦚 Blue is just magnificent with his electric blue feathers. The sounds of nature awaken you and after a wonderful night's sleep (the best I've slept in years while camping). Ken was gracious an was able to deliver my husband his 1st time EVER experience in fishing in which he caught 2 fish. This was a great experience and we definitely plan to return. 💜

Let’s just say this was a beautiful and peaceful trip for our family . We all our new to camping so this was an amazing experience for us and the kids. It is a beautiful little place. The peacock is loud and the geese are really mean. it is a unique place to stay. I stayed there for a shower while working so I didn’t get to take in all the amenities but it looks like a lot of other people have a lot of fun there.

Kenny was super accommodating and let us pick what site would be best for our needs since the campground wasn’t full. Everything was great! Property was well maintained. Bathroom was clean. We didn’t need anything. Everything was there. And fresh eggs! We’re definitely planning to come back for a longer stay.

Ken and Jean were very hospitable during our stay. Our 3 teenagers really enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball, which was set up for our stay. Due to high winds, Ken recommended we instead stay in the Fenway area campsites and it was perfect for that scenario. When the weather turned sour Ken even set up a table for us in the little house so we could cook and eat out of the wind. I really felt taken care of the entire time we were there; he even donated dog biscuits to the animal shelter I work at. Aside from the hospitality, the farm was amazing. Horses, chickens, peafowls and peacock, a pig, an emu, dogs, cats! We got to interact with so many animals if we wanted to. I loved feeding the pig. The land is truly lovely with nicely spread out campsites, lots of trees, thoughtful lighting at night to find your way, and a really nice lake with a small island. It’s a little slice of paradise. I enjoyed the ability to purchase firewood and fire starters and farm fresh eggs. The less I have to pack the better. I will say there is only one bathroom, so if you have a large group you might consider setting up a privacy tarp and outdoor latrine near your site. We had a fabulous stay and I can only imagine how lovely it is during summer. Would be great for families with young children as well! Highly recommend for a stress free getaway. 5/5 stars.

I loved staying on this property. There are multiple campsites in wooded and grassy areas near a beautiful lake. Ken was very helpful and hospitable. There is a bathroom within 5 minutes walk of any campsite and there are animals to see like a pig, an emu and chickens. There are paddleboats and even a little island that you can walk out to in the lake. The property is just gorgeous. I highly recommend booking.
