Unfortunately, Castor River Ranch Campground currently has no RV sites available.  We do continue to welcome primitive tent camping. Castor River Ranch Campground is comprised of 150 acres in the Missouri Ozarks, adjacent to the spring-fed Castor River, near the village of Marquand. The property was originally developed by the Myers family in 1908 as a cattle operation. In 1963, the property was purchased by the Laur family for a recreational destination. In 2006, we purchased the property and began developing our campground.  The most salient historical feature includes segments of the Missouri Pacific Railroad line built in 1867, known as the Belmont Spur, which was fundamentally used to transport harvested timber. Castor River Ranch Campground converted the narrow gauge railroad line into pristine hiking trails leading to a 150-year-old tunnel.  Our Missouri Stream Team and Adopt-A-Highway program attract and protect Missouri's wildlife.

Amazing time!
If you've never experience a natural spring lazy river, Castor River Ranch Campground is the place for you. Jon and family are more than accommodating, kind and helpful. Their dogs are super friendly and the property is really clean and well designed.

You will not be disappointed
Beyond everything I expected. Jon (pronounced Yawn) and his family are more than accommodating, kind, friendly and their dogs are a hoot! They make their rounds to all the campsites to say hello. Castor River was so clear and cool during our visit July 4th weekend. We will definitely return!

River floating & idyllic hikes
I wish we had spent our whole vacation at CRRC, because we had such a wonderful time. Our hosts Jon and Mary were so friendly and helpful, as was everyone we met there. We spent a relaxing weekend floating down Castor River and taking beautiful hikes through on well-kept trails. Two highlights of the trip: picking fresh blackberries on Blackberry Trail, and the pristine bath house!
