A hidden retreat,
Truly a camper's paradise, 3 private, wooded campsites on a sandy bank overlooking a beautiful creek. Lots of turkey in the morning in the nearby pasture. Barbara drove me and my gear in, though its not a long walk if you want to feel like hohre roughing it a bit and pack it in yourself. Graciously helped starting car next morning. Planning on returning before winter!
Beautiful campground and great host
Barbara is very nice and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. She provided firewood and a toilet bucket. Barbara even let me fish on her pond which was a lot of fun! The Property is beautiful and fairly easy to find with the provided directions. Stay here if you are looking for a fun relaxing getaway!
Lovely campsite and host
Lovely place to stay! Campsites are right next to the creek and tucked away at the edge of the property’s large cattle fields, which provide for great stargazing. Campsite number 2 is the most secluded and has a great little clearing. Nice to walk around the property edge, looking forward to seeing it extended further. No view of any other neighbors and plenty of wildlife. During my stay I saw a hawk, a herd of deer, and critters down by the water. Barbara was great to talk to and made me feel right at home! Definitely talk to her for area recommendations(she sent me to a cute diner to try out).
Barbara and her husband greeted us when we pulled up. The campsite is in back of their property along the creek. You CANNOT drive back there but they got out the 4 wheeler and wagon and loaded all our stuff in there and drove it back to the campsite. It was a short walk...maybe 100 yards. Very private and secluded from host's house. Creek was great! Had 3 otters playing in it middle of the night, heard lots of coyotes and turkeys but no intruders to our camp.
Beautiful campsite and creek
I absolutely loved my time here. I was hoping to be alone in the woods and i got my wish. The other two campsites happened to be vacant! My dog and i loved the creek that runs along the whole property. We spent most of our time playing and exploring in there. Barbara and her husband are both very friendly and helpful but also give you plenty of privacy. Their land is beautiful and i would love to come back.
