You may choose to camp in a peaceful setting above the Niangua River, or you may decide to camp right on the riverbank. It's entirely up to you. Only one group is booked here at a time so that you can experience complete privacy and seclusion! The Niangua is a lazy river, great for fishing, swimming kyaking or canoeing. (3 person canoe is available.) A high wheel base vehicle is reccomended to get right down to the campsite. If it is rainy, all wheel drive is reccomended. Otherwise the pack in is about a quarter mile. It's definitely worth the effort!

Beautiful campsite. Jack has cleared a very nice space to pitch your tent. He has built a fire ring and stocked the site with wood. Great hiking and close to the river. My 13 year old son kept saying, “Look how beautiful it is, Mom”.
Jack is a super nice guy, a great host. I locked my keys in my car and he came to the site and got them out for me.
Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful piece of property! Jack was kind enough to meet me and assist me in getting my things to camp, showing me around, and was a great host in general. He's happy to share his love of the outdoors with others. The suggestion is 4x4 only, but my Mazda 3 made it down to the campsite just fine since it was dry ground (I waited to see what it looked like on the first ride down with Jack). In addition, he allowed me to borrow a canoe for my stay, which really made it all the better. Great place to swim, fish, and if you're lucky, pick some fresh pawpaws from the riverbank! My dog and I had a great and secluded time, as expected. Hope to come back!
