This was an amazing place to stay. It was our first Hipcamp experience and it was everything we expected. The hosts were wonderful people, they were very welcoming. I honestly loved the camp.
Perfect place to spend a weekend in Duluth riding bikes and hiking! Just steps away from Superior hiking & biking trails, swimming holes and gorgeous woods. Kind hosts, gratefully dog friendly! Will definitely stay here again!
Quiet and safe duluth stay
This is a great site on a shady and quiet city street next to the zoo, a park and hiking trails. It is two wooded lots between houses. The site can be occupied by numerous people at once—I didn’t realize anyone else would be there when we were there but several other couple showed up throughout the weekend, so it wasn’t as private as I had hoped. Too, there is no kitchen here, like the website claims, so be prepared to cook out all of your meals, with no running water. There is a public bathroom in the park across the alley where you can wash your hands. Not sure if I would drink that water tho. Overall sweet spot in Duluth and I will likely be back! Thank you!!
Good for one night!
Easy to find, lots of good pads for comfy tent sleeping. The park across the way is nice.
It was a little weird using a public facility for bathroom/washing, but that wasn’t a secret!
Plenty of dry firewood and two fire pits.
Every single spot was booked and it was cramped and awkward; I recommend reducing the spots available since the lot is already wedged between two homes with a street on one side and a public (and busy) park on the other.
If you want a rugged or nature experience, be warned that you’ll hear highway noise constantly.
Host was communicative and helpful. Potable water available in the public bathrooms, so bring containers to fill.
If you like to string up a hammock there’s some good spots :)
The white house next to the lot has a floodlight that was on all night, so bring a sleeping mask if that keeps you up.
Given all of this, I don’t think I’d feel comfortable staying here past one night but great in a pinch and easy!
Exploring duluth and waterfalls
The site was very neat, spacious and clean. It was very close to the city but it still felt secluded. It was a good combination of nature and civilization. Tonya and Jonathan were very nice and accommodating. I definitely recommend this site.
Awesome place to pitch a tent for a night! It's super close to some trail heads and you can easily drive anywhere else. Night time noise is a little loud, but easy to tune out. Tonya is super helpful, too!
We had a wonderful stay in Duluth! Tonya and Jonathan were great hosts, the site was clean, hiking was great! The nearby playground was a welcome addition for my niece's first camping trip. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone who was looking for a great affordable family camping experience.
