Description

Iron Lake’s campground was burnt pretty badly during 2007’s Ham Lake Fire, but you’ll be thrilled at how quickly the entire area is springing back to life. Y’know, it’s actually quite a fascinating ecosystem. This small, remote campground entices canoeing and fishing lovers from around the state… and it’s proximity to the popular Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness doesn’t hurt, either. With over 1 million acres to explore along 150 miles of the U.S.-Canada border, you could spend lifetimes exploring this downright magical place.
