The vibe at Yurt-style tent at Stone Creek Farm
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We were first-time HipCampers and stayed at this site over Memorial Day weekend. The campsite exceeded our expectations in every way! When we got to the farm we were warmly greeted by Dan, Dani and their son (they were wonderful hosts), they helped us bring our gear out to the very secluded campsite. The campsite itself is absolutely beautiful, the yurt sits on a deck, there is a charcoal grill, firepit, Adirondack chairs, compost toilet and picnic table. The campsite is about 1/4 of a mile from where we parked our car and has full shade. It was 90 degrees out the whole time and we were comfortable. There were so many fantastic things to do in the area, we visited the Wi Interstate Park (where we were able to shower), Franconia sculpture garden, nearby lakes and beaches and local bars and restaurants. Everything was less than a 10 minutes drive away. I would highly recommend this site to anyone interested in glamping at a private campsite with TONS of nearby attractions. We will definitely be back!
Danielle and Dan were wonderful hosts! They made sure they were available to greet me and help get my stuff back to the site, which is privately tucked away down a quarter mile path in a little cove of trees. It was the perfect amount of privacy/wilderness while also knowing they were close by.
The site was just perfect - and it was nice to have a nice, large tent already set up when you arrive! They provided most of the camping essentials (firewood, cooler, etc.) and even brought me a camping mat/mattress since I forgot mine.
My only warning is that there are a lot of mosquitoes!
I highly recommend staying here - you won't be disappointed!
Wow this place was amazing!!!! The hosts were so great and friendly and the campsite was beautiful! The site they had set up was so private and comfortable, it was so nice! I want to stay there again! :)
This was our second visit to Stone Creek Farm. Messaging via Hipcamp makes it easy to communicate with Dani, the property host and she responds to messages quickly. We were greeted upon arrival and Dani assisted us with getting our camping supplies to and from the site via a sled and four-wheeler. The yurt tent is set up on a wood platform with plenty of tree coverage. The site is set up with a picnic table, wood chair bench, padded lounge chair, fire pit, charcoal grill, and compost outhouse with plenty a space to move around and relax in.
We planned this trip with only a couple days notice but everything was set up and prepared as if we had booked in advance.
We would recommend staying at Stone Creek Farm and will definitely consider visiting again!
We enjoyed the private and spacious campsite and had a lovely converstion with our host about his orchards and what he has learned through his work in them. I highly recommend this lovely get away!
We enjoyed our stay at Stone Creek Farm! Our hosts were wonderful and very helpful with any information we requested. They brought all of our gear to the site which was about 1/4 mile back, it was very relaxing. Bike paths, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing all within 5 miles.
Loved the private site in the woods. Super close to Taylor’s falls and wineries. A spacious yurt style tent, bbq was great. We loved taking a walk around the farm. We would book again.
We had an amazing first Hipcamp experience at Stone Creek Farm! Although we unfortunately didn't get a chance to meet Danielle in person, her husband Dan kindly met us at almost 10:00 at night to show us to the tent site, and throughout our stay was always friendly and welcoming, giving us recommendations and showing us around the farm. He even gave us a farm-grown zucchini to take back to Minneapolis!
As far as the tent site... the yurt is HUGE (big enough for a family for sure!) and very comfortable if you bring your own sleeping mats. We built a fire with the provided firewood and loved sitting out in the site. There is lots to do in the area. Highly recommend -- We will definitely stay here again!
Danielle and her family were very welcoming and the property and campsite, even the surrounding activities and attractions, exceeded our hopes. The yurt-style tent was in a beautiful wooded area with well maintained services, and the host even left flowers to add a special touch! We enjoyed s'mores with the host on arrival, had a nice walk around the property in the morning, saw a great horned owl! Taylors Falls and the sculpture garden nearby were awesome sites to take in! All around, we had an exceptional time at this exceptionally well-offered campsite!
