Wonderful, quiet spot with surrounding woods and nearby water access. We plan to go back and rent both spaces. The 2 sites were a bit closer together than we pictured, otherwise the perfect spot for a secluded getaway.

We enjoyed our stay. We were greeted by Mike and gave clear directions of where to find firewood, picnic table, grill, and most importantly how to get to the beach.

Beautiful site in a tall pine old-growth forest. Lots of beauty and wildlife. Kind and hospitable host. We would definitely return!

Had a wonderful time this weekend at Mikko Kamp. We went with my brother who reserved the other site. The site was very nice and clean. Lush green forest surrounds the camp and there is a dock within walking distance. The beach nearby was very nice with crystal clean water. The two sites are relatively close so I’d recommend reserving with someone you know. When we got there Mike greeted us and gave us a short tour of the property then left. He is close by if you need anything. Ticks were a bit thick but otherwise it was perfect. Itasca was about 45 minutes away, highly recommend taking a trip out there. I’d highly recommend booking At Mikko Kamp, we will most likely be returning some day!

Site ok but the fishing and swimming options were nowhere’s close to the camp area. If you go here because you want to fish, find someplace else.

Sorry hon. I sent a detailed welcome letter before you came that clearly stated the swimming beach was 3 miles away. It is also noted on the Hipcamp site as was the fishing. You can launch a kayak or canoe and have access to the entire Crow Wing Lake chain. Sorry you were disappointed, but rustic seclusion isn’t for everyone.

Great spot to stay and the swimming beach that's a few minutes away was great for the kids. I would definitely stay here again.
