We camped in a perfect weather day in May. Very quiet, and very soothing sounds from the creek.

We loved our stay at Creekside Sounds #1. It overlooks the creek and is on a large field. It is so incredibly peaceful. My daughter loved playing in the creek and running through the grass.

Creekside Sounds #1 is just down the creek from #2 and you can see the other site. Her third site is just beyond the barn and secluded from the other two.

Oddly there was no mosquitos at all. The stream was very relaxing and soothing to sleep next to, even saw a few decenct sized trout in the small stream. The view of the surrounding bluffs are amazing.

Stay with Jolene! Kid friendly and so much fun. Perfect stay and experience for our first hipcamper use!

Our son would not leave the creek and it is a highly appropriate area for children and family. The cows and atmosphere are perfect! Jolene is down to earth and staying on her ranch was a pleasant surprise! She made us feel right at home :)Creek Side Sounds is full of untouched natural beauty and is a hidden gem just off 90 if you want a quaint stop in your travels.

If I could score expectations higher - I would give Jolene’s property a 20/10! We pulled up to her gorgeous renovated barn and her beautiful home across the street, and, as we got out of our car and began walking around we felt as though we had been placed in beautiful Switzerland. Flowing green pastures, baby cow swimming in the whispering creek, calm and quiet with no busy roads for miles. Stay here.

This perfect oasis captured our hearts right away. The red barn calls out first and leads your attention to the grassy field. Listen and you will hear the creek. The owners are really friendly and are doing a great job opening up their space for a few campers.
An open field awaits with choices of spots. They’re renovating the barn into a rental space too. A fresh water well is next to the garden. An outhouse is available.
This is perfect! Close enough to the highway and yet really quiet. The dip into the valley keeps the noise away. Several state parks are in the area as well as the mighty Mississippi River.
This is definitely a place you should check out.

What a beautiful scene to spend time in!Camping in the corner by the creek.

This was our first experience with hipcamp and Jolene made it perfect. She made sure we had a safe, dry, place to stay and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We were treated like family but also left alone as much as possible. I couldn’t recommend this site higher to anyone. We hope to be able to return someday. We honestly didn’t know there were such nice people out there anymore.
