If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Travis has the perfect hilltop camp site right as you drive in to his long driveway. He has made it easy for campers to pull in to their campsite without need to interact with the host, though he is very hospitable and let us know about the 80+ acres open to explore! This space is in the middle of the countryside but has plenty of forest area to discover. A peaceful stay, whether you are passing through or are staying in the area.
Had a great time. Though we reached 90 minutes late, Conney was waiting to welcome us. She made sure we were set up with camp fire, lights etc. This was backed up by clear written instructions. Bathroom and toilet were easily accessible and super clean. Surroundings was great. Had lot of space to ourselves. Overall could not have asked for more. Superb experience.
We loved our stay and want to go back again in the spring to see sometbing different! We had plenty of privacy, great views and there was always somethig to do. My husband and I did not take advantage to the walking trails as much as I would have liked because of the weather (maybe next time), but we did like walking the grounds among the chickens and goats, petting the “dog horses” aka donkeys, and watching the pigs. Hosts were very kind. We felt welcome and comfortable to make ourselves at home. They were happy to share their little piece of heaven with others!
Farm yard stay
Travis was friendly and informative. He had us park in the farm yard by some outbuildings right in front of the cows. He has a lot of barnyard friends, cows, goats, pigs, burros, cats and dogs. A lot of deer also came in the evening. We heard coyotes at night as well.
The farm was peaceful. The hosts were wonderful. They were also respectful of Covid boundaries. The sunsets were stunning. The animals were so much fun, with lots of babies. We especially the watching fainting goats. We will go back!
We had a great stay at the farm! Great hosts who made us feel welcome and always made sure we had enough firewood. The animals were fun to watch and there were neat trails to explore. The bathroom/shower was clean, and the wi-fi worked well. We hope to stay again!
A fun and different experience
Our stay was good. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, the campsite was nice, free firewood, and the animals were fun, especially the goats. It's an interesting place with a lot of history. The barns are getting pretty rundown, but don't let that bother you. It's a wonderful place to stay - something different! There's also a great splashpad and playground in Litchfield for the kids. I would recommend it.

Travis, thanks for a great weekend and the wonderful kayaking tip. If you are in the twin cities I highly recommend this spot! Less than 2 hours away and you have one of the most welcome it hosts we have ever experienced. Made to feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Travis provided everything you need and more. Such a quiet place and beautiful sunsets. Love the history of the farm! A MUST!
My wife and I spent three days at the farm and had a great time. Travis and Connie were both great hosts and were helpful with our questions. The farm has a wonderful history and trails through the woods. Very peaceful and also entertaining with the animals and surrounding country. we were parked near the animals and enjoyed the antics of the goats, especially the young ones, who were free to roam. If your lucky you might be greeted by Pedro, the donkey, who is eager to greet you. We hope to be able to go back again.
