To avoid confusion please note:The Tipi is site #1 The Safart tent is site #2

Our 3 Primary Guidelines:

I. We are an Adults only property (parents need a rest!)

II. We are a no smoking propoerty (fire safety is a must!)

III. We are a no pets property (wild animal viewing is a bonus!)

The P2 Rendezvous assures rest and rejuvenation. We encourage all visitors and guests to relax into the slower pace of country living. Live well here.  Wellness, contentment and serenity will be yours at the P2 Rendezvous.

We have 3 distinct listings on Hipcamp: (They are all our same property - P2 Rendezvous - they just have different offerings and pricing)

1) P2 Rendezvous Adult Resort - Elegant glamping in our Tipi (#1) or Safari Tent (#2) {THIS LISTING}

2) P2 Rendezvous Pine Forest Tent Camping - byo Tent and all gear

3) P2 Rendezvous Storytime Tipi - Fourteen foot Tipi, byo sleeping gear

This listing has 2 dwellings for elegant adult camping: Site #1 is the Tipi and Site #2 is the Safari Tent, which both accomodate 2 adults. This is Glamping and Tipi sleeping at their finest!

Our property sits on a very private and secluded, 60-acre nature preserve, resplendent with trees, trails, and hills.  Because of this most amazing privacy, we allow guests to be clothing optional, when appropriate.  We are a designated adult-only property.  We are minutes from the Cannon River and Lake Byllesby County Park.  What you may notice after the incredible beauty is the utter quiet and lack of mosquitos.

Adjacent to the campgrounds, sits our main lodge, a six-thousand square foot private country estate, where we have resort amenities such as a sauna and hot tub, which are available for guests who wish to book in the Lodge. We offer 3 private indoor bedroom suites, for thoses guests in your party, who may not be as adventurous or outdoorsy.  (Grandpa or your Mother-in-law, perhaps?)  This is also an option for winter enthusiasts, who want the warmth of an indoor bedroom, and a sauna after their snowshoe adventure!  Clothing optional, as well.  For more information, please contact us so we can make recommendations for your party.

You will find a large Tipi and Safari Tent as well as at least 4 camping locations here (camping sites are listed under P2 Privacy in the Pines). The Tipi and Safari Tent both have electricity, which means you can turn on lights, run fans, and power your phones. Enjoy the comforts of real queen-sized beds, (and sheets!) in both dwellings. The Safari Tent sits on a 24’ platform with a porch, comfy chairs and a loveseat inside. The 24’ Earthworks Tipi is also on a platform. It is a comfortable living and dining space inside, with a couch, chairs, desk and a table for dining or playing games. Wood stove is operational in fall/winter/spring for warmth and cooking. The Safari tent is in view of the main house, the Tipi is totally private.  There are three tent-camping sites in between the Tipi and Safari tent, on flat, soft, pine-needled flooring, and one campsite in a separate and secluded ravine which is totally private.  All camping sites have access to their own picnic table, chairs and fire-bowl.  You will have access to "Central Supply" which houses some useful and fun amenities such as a large transport cart - to smoothly and effortlessly wheel all your gear to your camping site, a relaxing tree-hammock, 1 gallon water jugs, small weber grills, and a handful of camping games (hammers and nails for Hammerschlager, croquet, frisbees and beach balls.)

There are 2 and a half miles of private and remote, well-mowed, hiking, running or mountain bike trails.  There is a private forest, a walnut tree path, and three walking labyrinths on our site.

The area boasts farmland and forests, and our property has over 10,000 mature pine trees that were planted more than 30 years ago, which gives the campground a wonderful feeling of being in the woods, and yet has views extending for miles.

Wow! This is one of the most magical spaces. They have a safari tent, tipi, and multiple comfortable camping sites. The property is immaculate. Not a blade of grass out of place on their incredible property! We were greeted by our hosts upon arrival and given a tour of their serene property. They have several peaceful trails that they hope you explore and enjoy - one even ending in a labyrinth! We stayed in the safari tent which was incredibly comfortable. Each end of the tent was open to the breeze (with a screen) which made it cool during our June stay. One of my favorite features was the 'Central Supply' which was a shed that included fire pits, lawn games, water, and other amenities for you to enjoy. I think this is the perfect space to spend a few days and especially with a group! They are also open to hosting weddings and events which I feel would have the perfect camping/outdoor vibe.

This was a place of serenity and rejuvination. We found peace while exploring the paths that wind throughout the property and hammocking in the pinewood forest. The sleeping arangements were clean and comfortable. We saw the best starlit nightsky of the entire summer and several meteors.

Pat and Pam provided an extravagant space for my friend and I. It was everything and beyond what we expected! Pam showed us around the site and thoroughly explained anything we needed to know for our stay. Although we were only there for a night we did not want to leave! We stayed in the lovely safari tent which overlooks fields of wild flowers and plants which we also got to walk through. The trails made the stay even more fun providing us with an unexpected adventure! The front porch also gives you the perfect view of the sunset/sunrise. We watched the best stars from the porch as well. You can also open the back part of the safari tent which shows the beautiful little forest. We brought our hammocks and read amongst the trees and cooked dinner over the fire pit located at the s'mores bar. Everything was pure magical and warming. We will surely be returning very very soon, we were sad we had to leave. Thank you Pat and Pam for sharing this beautiful space to us.

They also provided these adorable and awesome safari hats!Lovely dew drops on the trailDave's Ravine! Where we cooked our dinner!

This site is so incredible through and through. Pat and Pam were amazing hosts and we could not have enjoyed our time more. We had the opportunity to stay in both spaces (though be aware that the listing is for one or the other) and they were both magical in their own ways. The tipi is set slightly father back away from the main house if you like a little extra privacy, but the safari tent is also serene and so well set-up. Also be aware that it is a multi-site campground with most sites in close proximity. We only had other guests there one night, and we ended up having a late-night pow wow that we will all remember for some time. Prepare to have some really cool, eye-opening interactions!

The property was well-kept, well-lit and very thoughtfully created. There are a few miles of mossy trails to get lost in during the day, lakes and rivers nearby, and NO bugs whatsoever. We could not believe the lack of mosquitoes, clearly there is a magic understanding here between nature and our wonderful hosts. There are multiple great spots to watch the sun rise and set, and to gaze at the stars. Great views all around!

They provide almost everything you would need other than food (and they even provided some of that fresh from the garden) we were actually surprised by how little we needed to bring in comparison to what we brought, so don't be afraid to pack light.

We will be back to P2 very soon for another adventure and I am sure we will have even more to say then. Maybe we will see you there! Thanks again Pat and Pam, see you soon!

My two sons and I stayed in the tipi this last weekend and Pat and Pam made our stay nothing short of amazing!

Pam greeted us and showed us around the property and made us feel so welcomed. The boys and I were then left to have a peaceful stay.

We explored the beautifully kept hiking trails and roasted hotdogs over the fire. The kids had a dance party under twinkle lights and told stories and shared tons of giggles around the fire.

The bed and the couch in the tipi were very comfortable and we all slept well. It did get a little chilly in the tipi at night, so I was glad we had brought sleeping bags. Tthough, I'm sure there are extra blankets available.

Pam invited the boys to help fill the bird feeder in the morning and took them on a little hike to see the really cool labyrinth. They were so excited to show me the way to check it out. It made them feel really special and it was super nice for me to have that time to pack up and load the car.

Very pleased with our stay and the boys have already started planning our next stay. This time in the Safari tent that's also available to rent on the property.

They loved it!One of many hiking paths.TipiInside the tipi

I'm not sure where to begin, so I'll just start with three words: Above and Beyond.
P2 Rendezvous Retreat Camp was our very first booking through HipCamp, and it has set high expectations! It will be hard to compare it to others though, as it was such a unique experience. From the very beginning, Pam and Pat were very responsive to messages and came across as warm, welcoming, and looking forward to sharing their space with us. We are doing a 10-day, nine-night road trip tour of MN (yes Pam, I totally forgot to count the extra weekend!) and since we were getting a late start on Friday, we were relieved to find a unique looking place with a "Safari Tent" or "Tipi" that we could book for the night without worrying about setting up camp in the dark with a tired toddler. When we arrived that evening as dusk was setting, we were totally blown away. It may have helped that the sun was going down and the twinkling string lights around the trees and structures were especially visible, but it felt magical! It was easy to find, and Pam met us in the driveway for a brief tour of the grounds. We were set up in the Safari Tent, which was either professionally decorated or they have yet another talent to share! It was spacious, cozy, airy and the decor matched the Safari theme. It was labeled with the word "Gratitude," which was fitting. The spaces were clearly designed to bring people together, but we had the place to ourselves which was just as enjoyable. We shared a comfortable, fully furnished queen bed - the only reason we didn't sleep soundly the whole night was because our toddler slept in directions only toddlers can. (For the record, we were offered a cot if we needed more bed space, but turned it down. Next time we'll take the cot 😉). It was a relaxing and beautiful start to our trip. The next morning, we were treated to coffee the hosts put outside on their patio overlooking the scenic grounds, and were amazed yet again by their "Humming Cove" - a garden with several hummingbird feeders that the Hummingbirds obviously loved. We've never seen so many of the delicate little birds in one place before. It was an experience from start to finish, and we cannot wait to come back to share it with friends and family - and make a weekend of it next time so that we can explore the things we ran out of time to try! If we hadn't had an itinerary to keep, we'd have stayed the second night that they invited us to. We would have loved more time to talk to Pam and Pat as well, as they seem to be truly kind, intelligent, and creative people with a lot to share beyond their beautiful retreat. We can't recommend P2 Rendezvous highly enough!
