Deep in the country, whether you are passing through or just visiting the area, Edwin has a few great sites on his property complete with fire rings, benches, bikes, and privacy! While we did notice the smells of the farm fields, our time was well spent with animals and we enjoyed the freedom of the countryside.
Ed's place was a great spot for a weekend getaway. We were car camping so it was perfect since the ground was still a little soggy. The property was definitely private and we had several visits from Ed's friends while we were there. The spot is perfectly positioned to watch the sunset. I wouldn't call this property family friendly since there are some open areas with debris that kids could get into, but for us grownups it was just fine.
We appreciated being able to bring our little dog and have him off leash on the property, Ed was good about keeping his older dog away from our dog, the younger dog was very sweet once we were all settled, but could be a problem if you had a highly reactive dog. Although the listing mentioned a flush toilet, it was actually a very clean outhouse, which we didn't mind at all, but is probably worth mentioning in case others are expecting a flush toilet for some reason.
Overall, we enjoyed the stay very much and would recommend to anyone who is looking for an experience very different from campground camping, which is why we are all here anyway, right? :)
