Our little homestead is just on the edge of Duluth. We have goats, chickens, ducks, and a few cats! Expect animal noises while camping here- they are all quiet during the night but like to chat (and sometimes yell at us in the case of the goats around milking time) during the day. We are about a 15 minute walk to the Superior Hiking Trail, a 10 minute drive to beaches and boating on Lake Superior, a few minute bike to our amazing Duluth Traverse Trail, and a little further for lots of great climbing spots. There are short trails to walk around on our property, goats to pet, and an outdoor bathtub for relaxing! There is electricity in the camper, but no running water. There is an outdoor kitchen for your use a few steps from the camper. The kitchen has a sink with a bucket set up, a full size propane stove, drinking water, and a big picnic table. There is a cooler to store your food, although you will need to provide your own ice. Pretty much all the cookware and utensils you need are in the kitchen. There is a fire pit very close to the camper and plenty of free firewood around! We also have an outhouse that is a short distance from the camper. The camper itself sleeps a cuddly 2 and there is a table for hanging out inside.

On cold nights we have a small, safe propane heater you can use if you buy the propane tanks (usually about $8)!

You can have up to 3 additional guests set up tent/s around the camper for a total of 5 people.

The camper is located on a path that we frequently walk past while tending to the animals and/or gardens. We will try to give you as much space and privacy as possible. The ducks and chickens are also free-range so be careful driving in and feel free to shoo them away when you’re in the kitchen! Come experience life on a little homestead (without any of the work!).

Extra care will be taken between campers to ensure proper sanitizing of the space. Note that the outhouse is shared with one other person that lives on the property! Please bring your own sleeping bags, blankets, and/or pillows.

This homestead completely exceeded my expectations! The vintage camper was cozy and comfortable for sleeping, and it was nice to have electricity to plug in my phone and a fan. The outdoor kitchen setup was perfect! And if it would have been less rainy, I'm sure we would have utilized all the tools for cooking outside. Everything you need for cooking and preparing food is there in the kitchen; plates, spatulas, pans, seasonings. There also was plenty of fresh drinking water in the kitchen which means you don't have to bring in any of your own. Taking the first breathes of fresh air each morning while chickens cluck around you and friendly cats nuzzle your legs was just the cherry on top of this peaceful weekend away. This camp was located on the outskirts of Duluth, but still close enough to stores to gather food and supplies. Perfect combo of both worlds! The door on the camper was a little tricky to close at times, but I chalked it up to an old quirk. I still felt very safe and protected in the camper from the elements. This would be the perfect getaway for a couple or a small group of friends. Cooper and Kyle were outstanding hosts!

This was my first experience with this type of stay. My granddaughters ,7 and 8 Said this was the best camp trip ever. They enjoyed Cooper’s sweet goats, friendly chickens and cats. Thanks Cooper for your hospitality, you are an excellent host! There so many thoughtful touches to the camper and the outdoor kitchen. We loved all the candles;)

Hands down one of the coolest places I've stayed. Cooper is a great host and everything was ready for us when we arrived along with clear instructions and signs from where to park to where the bath is. The kitchen area is SUPER and has basically everything you need to cook, as well as lots of cute candles :) Loved seeing all the chickens roaming around, and the two cats! A big thunderstorm rolled through on our last night, but we were nice and cozy in the camper! Amazing place!

Wow! What can I say that will do justice to this great getaway!? I'm a motorcyclist and have tent-camped on all of my long trips. I LOVE the idea of tent-camping, however, the older I get, the less I am excited about sleeping in a tent; no matter how nostalgic it is appears. WHAT I loved about this place was the fact that I felt like I was camping. Cooper and Kyle's place is LOVELY! Organic, hippy-like place. I felt not just comfortable, BUT right at home! I appreciated the free firewood and the most WONDERFUL outdoor retro-like kitchen. THE camper was perfect. I also enjoyed the animals and made quick friends with the free-range chickens. Lol... I WILL absolutely be visiting - however, make sure you make plans in advance! You won't be disappointed!

We loved our stay at the Pleasant View Folk Farm! It was the perfect place to rest during our week of hiking sections of the SHT and other trails. The kitchen has all you’ll need to cook your meals and the camper is adorable and comfortable. Don’t be daunted by the outhouse either — it’s beautifully constructed, clean, and fresh. The animals around the farm are so friendly and really add to the experience. Cooper and Kyle were very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. We’re so grateful we were able to call the farm our home for a week!

This place is amazing. The hosts are wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect! I would encourage everyone to go and experience this amazing apott, but if I hype it up too much, I couldn't book it again myself! :)

Go! Seriously!

We had a blast. Thank you to Kyle/Cooper for sharing this amazing space with Annie & I. We will definitely be back!

Three of us stayed at the site. The camper definitely only sleeps a very "cozy 2," but the site description was very accurate and we knew what to expect, so we packed an extra tent! :) The animals around the homestead are very friendly and a highlight of our stay. The outdoor kitchen is very nice and I would recommend staying here to experience it! I would stay at Cooper's place again!
