This was my first time using Hipcamp, and I could not have asked for a better experience! The campsite is located on Brooke's property, a working farm nestled off of some dirt roads. As two women traveling and camping, we were a little nervous about how safe we would feel. We were immediately welcomed by Brooke and her family upon arrival and felt very comfortable from the start. Brooke offered to be as hands on or hands off as we wanted her to be. We opted to have a verbal lay of the land and (although she offered to drop off our gear in her truck) we borrowed a wagon and set off to find the perfect spot. There is firewood cut and placed throughout the property, groves of trees, and open meadows. Endless options for pitching a tent! If you are a bird watcher or enjoy wildlife, you are in for a treat. We enjoyed seeing deer, a family of Northern Harriers, and so many other birds. This property is so stunning, and I highly recommend camping here. It's located close to Jay Cooke State Park, and it was the perfect launching point for travels up the North Shore.

Be mindful that this is a working farm! It was fun to see the adorable calves.A path was mowed throughout the fields, so that you didn't have to walk through taller grass if you didn't want to.Hiking to find the perfect spot.
