Are you yearning to sleep next to a river, yet also have close access to many activities, shopping, breweries, wineries and much more? Riverhouse is the place for you - we are 7 miles from downtown Traverse City - but far enough out you will be away from the madness of heavy traffic. There are multiple walking/hiking trails very near (the closest being just moments walk from the house). The North Country Trail has multiple access points within a close drive. Kayakers can drop in above our house and pull out right in the yard; just down from here is one of two sections of rapids in the state of Michigan (Fear not! These are friendly rapids, not treacherous ones :)) You can swim and relax in the river as well - it stays cool all summer. We have a fire ring available for you to enjoy and cook on if you would like and a resident BBQ expert who is always willing to lend a suggestion or two. We love playing music together, so please bring instruments! If you are interested in learning to meditate, be led in a guided meditation with or without drumming or perhaps some Reiki (energy work), that can be arranged as well! Interested in yoga? We have a few friends to call on as teachers who may be available to teach a class on site. Let this be your place to chill and enjoy nature - we look forward to meeting you! **** Also please check out our Facebook page that is dedicated to the property, activities in and around our area and more info!! The vibe at Riverhouse
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Jeramie was a great host, he stayed up to make sure we found our way to our campsites on his property. Jeramie was easy-going and more than happy to answer any questions. It was a great weekend to be on the river.
Jeramie was a wonderful host - when we arrived, he (and his adorable dog Sage) greeted us warmly and helped show us around. The campsite itself is beautiful and spacious - while we only stayed for one night, we would've loved to stay longer! In the morning, we spent some time relaxing in the river before we left. Thank you, Jeramie, for a wonderful stay - you were such a fantastic host and we hope to camp at the Riverhouse again!
Jeramie was a great host. He greeted us upon arrival, gave us some great tips on the surrounding areas, provided a great space to camp and then sent us on our way with some goodies from his garden. I would definitely stay at the river house again.
