I spent 4 nights with wife and our dog at site 2 and can't say nothing bad about our stay! The site was clean and as advertised. Also there was a perk for being first campers; we were gifted a bottle of wine on our last night :) Angela made herself available at all times. If you are planning to visit Sleeping bear dunes, Empire beach, Torch lake, and Traverse city, stay at Angela's!- her place is close to most lakes and cities. Thank you Angela, we did enjoy our stay!!
Host was welcoming upon arrival. Camp sites are in the hosts back yard and was not as private as hoped for. There are two camping sites which are about 10 feet apart from each other. There is a decent view toward the back and side of the property. You can hear the traffic but there are trees so visibility is minimal of the road. The available firewood could be a little more obviously placed and ready for use. Overall our stay was enjoyable with no issues.
Angela was a wonderful host and even gave us a gift bag full of s’mores materials and brochures/menus of nearby attractions and restaurants! She was very kind and polite. The site was far enough back towards the woods that is felt private, and there were two other sites a little closer to the house. The stars were gorgeous, the outhouse was clean (with a mirror, flowerpot, and Febreeze provided!), and the ground was flat and freshly mowed. We would definitely recommend camping here!
Another bonus: Moomer’s ice cream is only a few minutes down the road. :)
Very friendly hosts. Good upkeep on site, outhouse in great shape, bench in great shape. There’s a hose to shower and fill your water bottle. Host provided us with a welcome basket with stuff to make s’mores and also provided excellent dry firewood to make a large campfire. Would recommend.
Site was easily accessible and well kept. We were able to park at our site which made things very easy. Angela was great. She was very welcoming and responsive to questions. There was firewood available, water and the restroom was clean. The site location is great and everything we wanted to do in Traverse was just a short distance away.
My first time using Hipcamp. It was awesome! Property was well maintained. It was private. The hostess had a nice S'mores good bag for us. 5 star all the way! The night time star view alone was worth it Will for sure stay with Angela again!
I loved Angela’s spot. It was perfect for a spontaneous getaway weekend. It was an easy drive into Traverse for when we wanted to spend time in the city. We had a blast and Angela made us feel comfortable and welcomed on her land.
Lovely view, privacy providing host
We had site #2 and it has a lovely view just off the property. The whole area is surrounded by rolling hills and country side. Absolutely beautiful!
