Sharing the title of the only state park along Lake Erie, Sterling Campground has found a unique home among the shores of these fabled waters. Whether you want to spend some serious time at the fishing lagoons or set up camp in front of lakeshore views—or heck, maybe you even want to do some wildlife viewing or hike the six miles of trails available—this is a pretty bodacious location if we may say so ourselves.

Water is rarely swimmable due to ecoli or other dangerous issues, zero shade to escape the heat, but you get 2 giant smoke stacks to enjoy in your view. Definitely aimed at RV camping. By far the worst campsite I've ever been to.

View "beautiful view" from our tent.
