Someplace Else Camp was just the peaceful escape in the U.P. that we were looking for. The cabin has many more amenities than listed: bed with linen, ceiling fans, electric lights, and gas stove with cookware. The outdoor space is beautiful with a swing perfect for stargazing, and a campfire ring for a night around the fire. The site is about an hour drive from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore with tons of trails and sights to see. The host Rebecca was incredibly responsive and welcoming.

The stay at Someplace Else was an absolute treat! Watch the sunrise over a gorgeous pasture and see the stars with virtually no light pollution all while sleeping in a real bed and preparing meals on a gas stove or the charcoal grill. This location is centeifical to many hot destinations in the UP which was awesome because we had a home base and didn’t have to keep tearing down and setting up. We brought our two (well behaved) dogs and they had just as much fun as we did running around and exploring the camp. They are recycle and compost friendly. If you’re looking to get off the grid, but still have a little taste of home amenities you will love staying at someplace else. We will definitely be back!

Someplace Else Camp is better than advertised. The camp is very well maintained. During the day you can enjoy the views of the two beautiful horses that roam the field. During night enjoy a bonfire and the spectacular views of the stars. Our dog loved having plenty of space to explore and roam around. Perfect place for a relaxing weekend in the Northwoods.

Tough life here- comfortable beds, calm, quiet evenings and incredible night skies. Plenty of trees to hang a hammock, grass to stretch out on and fresh air to breathe. We loved Someplace Else. The cabin is really cute and super comfortable, some true UP glamping! You won't regret staying here. Rebecca even left us fresh veggies from her garden, and we happen to catch an amazing meteor shower.

Someplace Else proved to be a quiet and peaceful retreat with horses to watch nearby, trails through the property, and a fantastic view of stars at night. The camp was clean and our host made sure we had everything we needed. The firepit was enjoyable, as was the wood stove when the nighttime was cool. The beds came with sheets and there was more-than-enough bottled water supplied to meet all of our cooking and dish-washing needs. We would definitely recommend staying here.
This place is the perfect spot! A great basecamp to explore the UP from, or a beautiful property to relax at and soak up the northwoods vibes. Rebecca is an amazing host, communicative and friendly-- she even kept the fire going for me while I went out hiking one day! Could not have been happier with the experience there, and can't wait to go back
This place was amazing. We are already talking about retuning.
We had a great stay at the cabin! It had everything we could need: comfortable bed, wood for a fire, and cozy oil lamps for quiet evenings putting together a puzzle. Watching the horses graze was a treat when sitting on the swing with a good book. Highly recommended

A great little getaway on a beautiful pasture. Rebecca provided everything we could need, including plenty of firewood and water. It was lovely getting to meet her and learn about the history of the cabin. The location was central to many of the places we visited while in the U.P. and served as a great homebase to return to after long days spent hiking. We'd recommend this spot to anyone heading to the area, and we hope to be able to visit again in the future!
