Description

Great Lakes, great times, great people. That’s your trip to South Manitou Island - Popple Campground in a nutshell. At Popple, sites are tent-only (view campground map here), and are furthest from the dock (about 3.5 miles) so there is likely to be a lesser chance of spotting human life. Once you’re settled in, take a trip to the beach on the northern tip of the island!

If you have motion sickness issues be prepared for a long and choppy ferry ride. Check out some of the ghost towns remnants from early settlers.
