We met Sandra when we arrived at the site. She was lovely and answered a few questions that we had. The directions to the site were good, but we had to drive a little further than we expected, keep an eye out for the signpost.
The site was beautiful and private even though there are other campsites a short walk away. The nearby walking trails were fun to explore.

Frog Pond was a great site! It's like a back country site, quiet, rustic, and private, but you have your car and everything you need right there. We loved catching frogs and turtles at the pond, watching the water snakes hunt, and stargazing at night. Close to Saugatuck Dunes and lots of great daytime activities. We've already recommended this site to some friends!

The campsite was lovely and the pond was just as described. Sandra was flexible and very responsive. The only thing that would have made this better is if the campsite had a small table of some sort. We knew ahead of time that there wasn’t one though.

Maybe someday there will be a table. We will see.

My stay at The Pond was nothing short of magical. From listening to the frogs at night to watching the turtles swim and the turkeys wander about, I really felt like I was in my own little world. However, the best part of this trip was Sandra. Not only was the site clearly well cared for, but her generosity and hospitality made me feel like I had come home. Thank you for everything Sandra and I hope to visit again someday!

Lovely and chill. The site has excellent trees and moss and wildlife, and Sandra was a helpful and responsive host. My partner and I had a very relaxing few days here, and would come again!

We had a great experience at the Frog Pond. It lives up to its name; we glimpsed a few frogs jumping into the water, and heard wildlife sounds all night.

The site was very clean and the amenities (firewood available for purchase, compost toilet) were much appreciated.

We didn't realize there would be other campers nearby - there are 3 other campsites. The site was secluded though, and we didn't see anybody else unless going to the solar shower in the field behind the property.

The only "problem" we had was finding it; look for the street address on the mailbox, as Google Maps may be a little bit off.

Overall this was amazing and we would gladly go back!

We had a great stay at this private camp. Saugatuck and Holland are only about 20 mins away for shopping and dining . The host had a 5 gallon water jug at the site which was great for washing hands and a few dishes . The set up for the porta potty was very clean . Never smelled ! Just throw dirt on top of your business and that’s it . She also provided 2 rolls of TP. I was thankful she had one and we didn’t have to bring our own potty to deal with . We used the shower in the meadow for a quick wash . And we walked the forest floor and got all the wood we needed to burn for the weekend. For reference it was just the two of us using a camp for 3 nights .

WOW. This was my first time using Hipcamp and the site was exactly what I hoped it would be. We actually stayed in the Deep Forest campsite just nearby as the Frog Pond was closed for the season, but the Frog Pond looked just as beautiful as we drove past it.

Both sites are secluded, although I'd say Deep Forest even more so. They're nestled into a gorgeous little forest that feels much bigger than it probably is. The trees in mid-October were absolutely stunning, and to have the entire place to yourself is a memory I'll continue to look back on.

The sites were easy to find and well-maintained. Sandra left some drinking water and we were able to purchase a couple bundles of firewood from her to use in the fire pit.

After staying at many campgrounds over the years, I'm glad to have discovered Hipcamp as a way to get a more private and intimate experience. I'm just hoping other sites will live up to what Sandra's offer!
