Bunkhouse in the Pines sits under a pine tree canopy surrounded by a beautiful 11 acre forest, creek, and wetland.  It is centrally located to many attractions just minutes away: The Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, Beaches, Fishing, Wineries, Cool Shops, Farms Stands, Kayaking, Biking/Hiking Trails, and Traverse City. Come commune with nature and enjoy the awesome and uplifting vibe of the Leelanau Peninsula for the ultimate Eco experience! The small quaint town of Cedar, located just 3 miles away, has Buntings Market, The Cedar Tavern, an ice cream shop, new coffee house, and other eclectic shops.  The bunkhouse is cozy and small (125 SQFT) and a perfect base camp for a good night sleep. It has two twin beds (bed linens included), small refrigerator, two fans (no air conditioning), microwave, toaster, and electric tea kettle. The outdoor private space next to the cabin includes a table and chairs, propane grill,  and a spacious campfire area. The rustic out-building has hot and cold water for the shower, double stainless sink and a counter to prepare meals on. The kitchen is well appointed with a propane cook stove, pots, large cast iron frying pan, cooking utensils, plates, cups, silverware, can opener, and metal hot dog/marshmallow skewers for campfire. Please bring your own bath and beach towels. Kids? Dogs? Additional Guests? You can set up your tent or pop-up camper. Smoking of tobacco products on property is generally discouraged. Bunkhouse in the Pines
A great place away from it all. We loved the outdoor hot shower, adventures in the woods & all the extra touches that were all noticed & appreciated. Hoping to stay again soon!

Bunkhouse in the Pines
My second time staying at the Bunkhouse was just as enjoyable as the first. Christine is a great host and has put a lot of effort into making this campsite comfortable, convenient, and relaxing. Pretty much anything you might need is provided at camp. There are pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, a coffee pot, lantern, chairs, small fridge, a toaster, and many other things that may be helpful. I love that the site is conveniently located to all of the local attractions as well. Despite being on a fairly busy road, traffic noise is minimal. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a good spot to camp. I can't wait to go back!

Bunkhouse in the Pines
Christine is a great host! She provided a space heater for the cabin that was a life saver on a cold and rainy weekend. Her entire site is very thought out with almost everything provided for you. If you’re looking for complete privacy, this site might not be for you as it is close to the road and houses. The location is very convenient being close to TC, Glen Arbor, and Leelanau.
