The property is 40 acres surrounded by national forest. It is off a paved road and then 1/2 mile down a seasonal Forest Service road to a locked gate. It has about 1320 feet of the West Branch or Big Creek running through it. There is a 1940's fishing lodge where the owners stay. The campsite has it's own picnic table, fire ring and firewood for your use, but there is room for 3 or 4 tents. To insure privacy I only allow 1 group at a time. Bring your pole since there are brook and brown trout in the creek. Along the creek is a hiking path that follows the creek and leads to a beaver dam. On a clear moonless night you can see a billion star, yes really. Although ORV's are not to be ridden on the property there are a couple hundred miles of 50" and motorcycle trails just outside of our gate.  It is also 1/2 mile off the MI shore to shore horse riding trail. No hunting, shooting, or fireworks allowed on the property. Depending on the time of the year, don't forget bug spray. Verizon cellular service works on the property, but other cellular services might not.

The property was beautiful.

As promised the property was easily accessible, clearly marked and the host was very kind.

The property had ample room to set up camp and explore. Fully equipped with a fire pit and wood, a dock for enjoying the view and more.

Tim is an amazing host. Communicative and responsive. The campsite is fantastic with access to a neat little trout stream and adjacent to a state forest. The solitude was enhanced by the calls of the whip-or-wills late at night. Luzerne has showers at the IGA and good food at Ma Deeters if you don’t feel like cooking. Canoeing and flyfishing on the AuSable River is easily accessible. We will be back!

We had great time staying at Dam Beavers. The creek steps from the house was amazing - we all enjoyed it! W kayaked. It was clean, sage and had wood waiting for us. It was close to Luzerne, where we can get quick groceries and gas. We would definitely stay there, again!

Our stay at the Perfect Ten Lodge went beautifully. It’s in a lovely and secluded location with its very own creek. It was so nice to be able to relax without worry of bothering any neighbors or happening upon any people at all. Even with the wonderful seclusion afforded by this location, we were only just minutes away from an extremely well stocked gas station with absolutely anything you could possibly need. We went for hikes with our dogs, and spent time by the water. The site even had some firewood available right next to the fire pit. We could not have asked for a better camping experience than this one. Book this campsite with confidence.

Family by the fire-pit view from the cool chairs provided with our stay! Hiking trails...or resting trails depending on who you are...Fire pit and lodgehouse.Beautiful creek shallow enough to take a hike in!

Very tranquil and peaceful location. The river on the property is a great way to spend time and relax. Would recommend this location if you want to get away from the hussle and bussle for a couple of days. Luzerne is only 20 mins away if you want to rent a kayak and spend the day on the river..

This place was awesome! We enjoyed the scenery, the creek, and the hiking trails so much! They were right about the stars, the most amazing I have ever seen in my life. The hosts are SO nice and friendly and made us feel so welcome on their land. There is a store 15 minutes down the road if you forget anything, and they have anything you may need there! I will say, bring LOTS of repellant because us and our dog found quite a few ticks after hiking. Overall, amazing stay, and we will DEFINITELY be coming back!! 💛

Dam Beavers is a great place to camp and explore the rivers around Grayling. Tim was very responsive and helpful. The property is well maintained with an awesome hiking trail and a creek full of beautiful brook trout. There was room to park and maneuver my travel trailer. You are very secluded but only a few miles away from town. We will be back!
