Enjoy the beauty and solitude of Northeastern Michigan in this tree-encircled center 80 acre piece of property on a dead end road that is 5 miles from the nearest paved road, and about 1 mile from the nearest neighbor. There are several groomed trails and a wild pond to explore. An outhouse (with a running water toilet), cold water shower and water pump are available if needed near the property entrance. Camp sites are further inland, private and secluded and otherwise primitive.
15 miles from Alpena and Lake Huron and close to a multitude of lakes, parks and National Park land, it is an ideal place to get off the grid for a while. No road noise or neighbor noise here—just the sounds of wildlife, neighboring cows mooing (a mile off but audible on super calm, quiet nights) and an occasional tractor. And since light pollution is pretty much nonexistent, star gazing is the main attraction.
