Welcome, Hip-campers-This is NOT a campground, I am sharing my private property with you so you can enjoy all the wonderful and amazing places in the surrounding area. I am happy to be a part of your adventure! Hipcampers will always be like family to me! I am on the property and there isn't cell service, so text, sms and phone calls are very difficult. (though many use there cell thru the wifi service) If you message me and I don't get back to you within an hour or two-please be patient I will get back to you as soon as possible.
There is wi-fi and a port-a-john on the property. (depending on where you camp the proximity-may be a short walk. We do observe quiet hours. This is a very quiet area and sound is amplified here in the woods! Please remember this is very rustic. (rustic meaning very few amenities at this time, looking forward to more amenities in July of 2019) The people in the photos are other campers enjoying the property. I will be available for questions, concerns or if you just want to stop by, say hi and have a cup of joe. Please be patient with the on-going work that is being done on the property ( I will try not to do any work, during your stay.) You can message me first with your dates and I will let you know if any work will be done during that time. You will still have complete privacy and relaxation. This is private land for you to enjoy with yourself, family or friends. Pitch your tent, hook-up your camper/RV. Peaceful, camping area surrounded by 44 acres of woods with the sturgeon river meandering thru it. Close to waterfalls, 100's of trails, inland lakes and tourist attractions. Star-gazing, bird-watching, hiking, wildlife, resting and relaxing is free and highly encouraged. Cell phone service is intermittent. Verizon is the service that works the best. You will be about 15 miles from the nearest town! The closest gas station is in town- Ask me about the bar/restaurant (The Buckhorn) 10 min away, great food and gorgeous views. I will try to respond to all messages within 1-2 hours. Thank you...Happy Camping!!! NO FIREARMS!! HUNTING OR TRAPPING!!! NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITY! Sorry, I love fireworks but because of the area they are also prohibited.
Here are things I cannot control: The weather, The traffic, The neighbors and anything you may desire if I am not aware of your needs and wants-PLEASE communicate those to me and I will do everything possible to grant them. Very few times in the summer it gets busy with tourists so you may hear cars, 4-wheelers and side-by-sides or my neighbors enjoying their camping experiences.
There aren't any services, except electricity, septic and well for one RV for an additional fee. (The water was tested and is fine, but I prefer that you only use for bathing and washing) If you want to see the river you drive a very short distance past the drive-way and the river goes under the road. I own both sides of the river, so please explore and enjoy a walk in the woods.
There is so much to see in the Munising area, and there are brochures for your convenience of things to do.
Relaxing, unwinding, campfires, peace and quiet is what can be enjoyed on this property!
The things you can enjoy that are marked are not on the property but available near by. Here you can enjoy nature, walk, hikes, fires and relaxation.

The vibe at Magical Woods-Munising, MI
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
My trip was amazing in Munising. Anita Flowers is a very nice host and was great with responding to my questions about her beautiful property.
Where the property was there was almost no light pollution so star gaising was a very good experience and i was able to see a bunch of shooting stars while watching the sky. the port-o-potty she had on site was very clean and you could tell she has it serviced every time someone stays. There was no shower but I just bought a portable shower and pop up tent for privacy to fix that problem. But the two days I was there was a very enjoyable experience and the property is literally ten minutes from Pictured rock cruises and all the Hiking trails in Munising.
I would recommend this site to anyone that wants to enjoy Munising Michigan. She also told me that she would be adding trails to her property in the near future so i will definitely be visiting in the future.
I have stayed here it's a gorgeous piece of property . Secluded by woods, and Nature. It has water, electric hook ups. Great trails, and a huge fire pit, to kick back and enjoy a nice bonfire. I would recommend this place to anyone. There are all kinds of Scenic sites in the Area to visit.
What a nice woodsy property! The firepit is amazing, and there is even a tire swing in the woods. Anita was super friendly on the phone and made sure that everything was set to go. This is a great tent camping location, only 10 minutes to Munising and Pictured Rocks. We spent the day exploring the beaches on Lake Superior!
The area is absolutely beautiful. There is so much to see and do. There are countless hiking trails, caves to explore, lakes and rivers to swim, and adventures to be had! The property itself is relaxing, comfortable, and secluded. It boasts a giant fireplace that is perfect to cozy up to in the evenings. Wildlife is never that far away, so if you're quiet, you might get to spot a fox, a deer, a moose, or even a bear! If you're looking for a peaceful retreat and magical experience, I would absolutely recommend that you check this place out!
This is a Very private and beautiful property located close to many waterfalls and Pictured rocks. Loved seeing the 8 turkey walk right through the campsite and up the road and the wild life really comes out at night. Beautiful stars at night as well with NO man made light to take away from the beauty of it.
Will be returning again
Magical Woods was ready. Anita is a kind and respectful host with lots of knowledge about the area. We were up here for the weekend with some friends and loved the privacy of the campsite. It’s about a 30 minute drive to pictured rocks (which is pretty and scenic so not too bad!). There is a small river that meanders through the property. Just a heads up that the lake right across the street is private! Porta-potty was very clean. The fire pit is huge and amazing and the site in general is just so large that it’s great for lots of activities—including frisbee! Would definitely go back.
