WELCOME to the Little Ranchette Glamping & Traditional Camp. Bring your own camping equipment or stay in one of our accommodations. We offer year around accommodations for those wanting to enjoy a get-away. Sitting in the center of 200 acres this little slice of rural living heaven is conveniently located. Wake up to rolling hills, planted fields, deer grazing, freshly made coffee and a rooster crowing in the distance. Hike back to the hardwood forest for exercise, dip in the local swim hole, use our grill to prepare dinner under the pergola and stargaze while at our large fire pit near the oak tree. The area is completely private with plenty of fresh air and positive vibes. We are happy to accommodate "Solo-Travelers" or a group. We've had 50th birthday parties, family reunions, bachelorette parties and baby showers held at the Little Ranchette.
SURROUNDING AREA ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS: There are many activities that we offer on-site including yoga, stand up paddle boarding, farm to table dinners, seasonal hunting, snow shoeing, horse shoes, picnics under the hickory trees, paint nights, grape harvest and more. In the area there are many cottage market businesses, antiquing, picking, shopping, a winery and brewery trail, along with many top-notch trendy places to dine on the local fare. Nearby township, county and state parks with canoeing, hiking, tubing, hiking, birding and more. We are only an hour-ish from the Detroit Metro Area, 1 hour from Ann Arbor and Lansing, 30 minutes the way the crow flys to Flint. Fenton, Linden, Holly, Howell and Brighton are all local towns that have festivals throughout the year.
AVAILABLE TO RENT: Our large (made for 8 people) round tents set-up for 2 or 4 people. One has a queen size bed and the other has 4 twin size beds. Or stay in our iconic and trendy 1965 Safari Airstream, the Mitten Kitten. This beauty has been exhibited in vintage shows and known for it's kitschy original and modern details. The Airstream sleeps 1 to 2 people and has a double and twin bed. Our last and one of our popular rentals is our small vintage 10' Friendship camper, made in Friendship, Wisconsin.
In 2018 - We are adding another Glamping Safari tent and a Micro Cabin. Watch our Instagram account for the progress on both rentals. IG @ littleranchette

WHO'S THIS PROPRIETORESS?
Lindy was born and raised in a near-by small town, but spent most of her adult life living in Santa Cruz, CA. She considers that area her true life's home, but came back to Michigan to care for her parents who both now have passed of cancer. Before moving back to Michigan, she worked in the surf industry for the largest surfboard manufacturer, while getting her Masters Degree. Then taught for one tough, but very rewarding year in Baltimore, Maryland.
Since moving back to Michigan she has pioneered the stand up paddle board sport in the Great Lakes Region with Paddle the Mitten and SUP Yoga Michigan. From that she has founded and opened a women's adventure group called the Mitten Kitten Sisters (fb: Mitten Kitten Glampers) and Michigan Glamping. She has become an Ambassador for the Airstream Club and organizes the "Solo Stream Sister" gatherings. Bringing people together is her passion.
Her Father used to say "You have the incredible knack to meeting someone once and having them become a friend for life". It's a true story. And with the love for the property that she has acquired after her parents passed, yoga, paddle boarding, cooking, vintage campers and entertaining the Little Ranchette has been a dream come true. Together with her 2 dachshunds, she maintains the property and continues to travel in the vintage Airstream.
Please contact Lindy with questions or ideas! And come on over to stay. Join her for a home cooked meal with some Michigan wine!

The vibe at Little Ranchette Glamping Camp
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This was my first experience with hipcamp, and I couldn’t be happier. Lindy was such an amazing host, and went out of her way to accommodate my brother, senior dog and I. Little Ranchette is such a great place to stay. We will definitely be back. I recommend this highly.
We had privacy and watched bluebirds , goldfinch, and cardinals - lots of birdhouses. The outdoor sitting area and firepit is charming. Google and Apple maps lists the site as further west than it is. Watch the house numbers and look for the little Ranchette sign.
