Several ferries can drop you off at the Rock Harbor Visitors Center before you hike or paddle in to your campsite; there’s even docks for your watercraft! Explore nearby Suzys Cave or canoe out to beautiful Tookers Island. Aww, tookey, tookey, you’re gonna be hard pressed to leave when you discover the stunning views of Greenstone Ridge and the water from camp. Still close to a visitors center and ranger station, Three Mile is the perfect spot for those who want to spend less time hiking and more time exploring the island!

I hiked the 45 miles across Isle Royale and every site was quiet with an outhouse-type toilet or less. The wildlife is incredible and may get very close. We saw four moose and heard wolves howl at night. You can only access this park by ferry and it's very remote. Bring deet and use it often, the mosquitos are relentless. This is one of my favorite places in the world! So remote and untouched from the rest of the world.
