Tiny home living in completely renovated school bus! The bus is located 8 miles east of Marquette and 28 miles west of Munising. In a beautiful redpine and sand dune topography, the land the bus is situated on overlooks a pond and is across the street from a public sand beach of Lake Superior. It comfortably sleeps two adults and a child, and is perfect for anyone, from the mellow to the adventurous, all four seasons. Come for all that Marquette and Munising have to offer: Pictured Rocks, waterfalls, hiking, kayaking, skiing, mountain/snow biking, fall colors, & Northern Lights.Â
The bus is equipped with air-conditioning as well as two heaters, for year-round enjoyment. There is a pull-out queen-sized bed and a single. While there is no running water, there is a full kitchen (small fridge/cooktop, griddle & coffee maker) with a sink to a simple grey-water plumbing system. We provide you with 15 gallons of fresh, artesian spring water in easy to use containers, and we can always bring you more water, if you need it. Â
The bus is located next to a seasonal campground, so you can also use the restrooms/showers there, too, if they are open, for no additional fees. If you want the full "tiny home" effect, though, the bus has a bathroom with a bucket toilet (similar to a Loveable Loo) and a small tub with an on-demand water heater with a shower adapter and drain.Â
I will send a document of full directions about all the School Bus Living tips and tricks once you've booked, so that you can have all the details ahead of time and so that your stay is even more enjoyable!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in the bus! It was comfortable and cozy. I was a little nervous about it being close to the highway noise but we could barely hear it! The kids loved the dunes and the paddle boat was fun as well. Would recommend 👍🏻
My partner and I had an amazing time at Dragonfly Dunes. We had just completed 50 mile, 3-day hike in the Pictured Rocks so Jamie's cute bus was the perfect respite for us. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a clean, well kept, private, and relaxing stay out of the ordinary.
Our favorite parts were the fire ring with unlimited wood, the outdoor seating, pond views, and the wood interior of the bus.
Do note that you have to do a little work when it comes to showering and using the bathroom but I think it is well worth the trouble.
