This Cabin in the Woods was a wonderful home-away-from-home as my partner hiked in the area. The loft area is beautiful, and we'd spend our evenings with the windows open letting in a cool breeze, playing game, and just relaxing on all the pillows and blankets in the area.
The grill area is wonderful and we were able to cook most of our meals outside by the fire.
Also, their chicken is absolutely adorable.
Oh my word, this trip made me want to move to Massachusetts. The drive was beautiful, the people friendly, and our dream cabin waiting for us. This is the perfect little get away if you want something a little bit not so rough as tenting it. The cabin had the most beautiful interior and was in such a fun woodsy area. The bedrooms were beautiful and quaint and the structure of the house was so cool! There were so many little stands where you could buy peaches and apples within 5 minutes drive as well! We did not want to leave this property. Such a great space to get away from the work of the week.
Aina is a really attentive host - she checked in with us prior and during the trip, and gave us tips on local to-dos. We loved her cozy and quaint cabin, and really enjoyed the wood stove on chilly nights. Her kitchen was also well equipped, and made us feel right at home. Definitely looking forward to returning!
Very cozy and homey!
This cabin was amazing! It was super cozy and had such a genuine and rural feel, albeit still having plenty amenities. All of the appliances worked like a charm, including the wood stove, which kept the whole building toasty, even in 30-40 degree(F) weather. The hosts were great also, with one even stopping by to help us with the wood stove, as we had no experience with it. We may even come back in the summer for a whole week! Highly recommended.
This cabin and the entire property were amazing. Just add yourself and food and you could live here forever! There were some initial challenges upon checking in that were swiftly handled by Aina and a helpful neighbor. They really went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. First night was stormy so we did not get to enjoy the fire pit but there was plenty of space inside to relax. Day two was perfect weather-wise and while my partner and dog enjoyed a hike I spent the day working using the provided WiFi. We cooked outside our second night and ate in the three-season room with a cool breeze and no bugs. It’s about a 15 minute drive to civilization which is exactly what we were looking for but be sure to pack everything you need! Thanks, Aina, for sharing your amazing property with us - we would love to return!
Lovely cabin, short drive to hiking
The cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. My boyfriend was able to work from the cabin, while my dog and I spent some time in the woods at nearby People’s state forest. When my senior dog got tired, I left her with my boyfriend and went on a solo hike on Tunxis trail. I love the gorgeous outdoor space, and the host’s pet chicken.
Home away from home
This cabin was beautiful & cozy. The host was very communicative and really set up the place well. We brought things we thought we’d need to cook ect and were pleasantly surprised to find it already there! It was fun exploring the pictures and books (I learned to tie a few knots from one) throughout the place and we loved sipping coffee by the wood stove with our pup. The area of Granville is quiet and gorgeous.
Super cute cabin with all the comforts of home (and fascinating books!) on a lovely property. Aina was friendly and responsive to all our needs and offered suggestions on local happenings. The cabin is right near the hosts' house, so this is not a remote location. But it was perfect for us as a home base to refresh and relax and explore. When the house lights are out, the stargazing is pretty beautiful too!
