My husband and I stayed at the Secret Forest Glen campsite for one night and it was beautiful. The site was tucked away at the very back of the property in a roomy clearing surrounded by pine trees. We followed a dirt road past two other campsites that also looked very private and well equipped.
The site has a large wooden tent platform, a pair of Adirondack chairs, and a picnic table with benches. We used the provided grill rack to cook a hearty dinner and loved the convenience of having the table close by to hold all the cooking equipment. A rustic camp toilet was available as well as a camp shower. Black Rabbit Farm brews wild ales which can be delivered directly to your campsite. We ordered a selection and a bundle of firewood which was delivered by our very friendly host.
We spent the night listening to all sorts of birds and watching the fireflies. When the cloud cover blew away, it became an amazing night for stargazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this campsite again and we hope to come back for a longer stay next time.
I had a great experience at Black Rabbit Farm. Our stay at the Secret Forest Glen site was very enjoyable. Our host was friendly and the beers delicious! It's a private site with a nice setup and that's filled with the sounds of nature.
Really great site. Private on the top of a hill. Easy to hike in to but you definitely should have a car with some clearance as the road up is bumpy. Hosts were awesome and the area had a lot of great stuff nearby. They offer dog daycare and our pup lives bring with the pack while we went on our own adventures. All around really great.
Beautiful, secluded, and clean.
I stayed here with a couple of friends and absolutely loved it. We took a day trip to a local lake and couldn’t wait to get back to relax at our site. Lauren was wonderful and delivered our beer to our cooler while we were out which was amazing by the way 🍻 If we get the chance, we’ll be back. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, it’s so peaceful there.
Great secluded spot!
Secluded in the best possible. A few minutes of off-road driving, this site is nestled at the top of a hill surrounded by greenery and the sounds of nature. The site was well kept with a outdoor dining table & benches, adirondack chairs, a few storage cabinets, a grill grate for the fire, and a tent deck. I spent two nights here in late July & the site was shaded from sun until about 11:30, making for comfortable breakfast & coffee vibes. Granville Gorge is minutes away & well worth the afternoon adventure for light hiking & swimming. By late afternoon, the sun was hidden behind the trees for a shady dinner cooking experience. Awesome stargazing at night & lots of sounds of nature. Great spot! Highly recommended!
