A family farm adventure
My two young children and I had a relaxing and fun escape to Willet Family Farm. While our adventure began in a thunderstorm, we were quickly rewarded with a lovable patrolling dog, a field of fireflies, a full moon, a chorus of frogs and a pleasant day of play started by a crowing rooster. The hosts were extremely welcoming, patient and informative as my kids and I explored their farm and property with much entertainment provided by watching chickens, horses and rabbits, as well as lots of running. As the day heated-up we did some easy shaded hiking at nearby Hashawha Nature Center and returned for another night of peaceful camping on the farm.
Great camp location !
My boys and their friends truly enjoyed their stay at the farm. Jeremy was very friendly and so was the dog who came back to the campground three times to keep them entertained. It was an unique experience for my boys to camp out at a farm which they never did before. The HipCamp is a great way to browse and try different camping experiences. Will highly recommend others to camp out at Willet Family Farm!
Beautiful setting, charming hosts. We stayed one night over 4th of July. The site was beautiful, private, and there are chickens, rabbits, ducks, horses, and a friendly farm dog. Our son is already begging to come back.
Exactly what you want it to be
This was our first Hipcamp experience and it was amazing! The hosts and their kids (and their dog) were so sweet! When you arrive you're greeted by their sweet dog Martin who ushered us to our campsite. The entire farm was so big and beautiful. We had a nice isolated plot of land with a fire pit, water cooler, and table. The hosts were incredibly friendly and kind and gave us great recommendations for swimming areas which was important to us in the 100 degree weather! At night the air was cool and we could see all the stars. The field around us was lit by the fireflies while we sat around the campfire, which we made with the wood they provided us with. Would highly recommend!
Beautiful farm with good conditions for the animals. Our toddler thoroughly enjoyed meeting the animals and hanging out in the tent. Nearby Hashawha nature center was also great, with ponds, well kept trails, and hawks and turtles.
