We're surrounded by a wild and ancient forest that sings us to sleep every night with its chorus of frogs.

We are homesteaders here, we grow our own food and have lots of goofy sheep and goats to handle the landscaping. :)

So genuinely welcoming!
This exceeded my expectations of a summer getaway with my friends! I went into it with the attitude of escaping busy life, and absolutely fell in love with the lifestyle of Mina and Tim. Their hospitality and generosity made this trip extremely stress free and homey.
My friends and I are obsessed with The Hippy Hideaway and want to come back as soon as possible! Mina and Tim are such wonderful people and were so welcoming. We immediately felt comfortable/at home. Every aspect of our stay was amazing. We especially loved the fresh produce basket Mina provided us with (definitely recommend getting this at checkout). The watermelon was just what we needed after setting up our tents! 10/10 would recommend.
So special, we love this place
Mina and Tim are SO so nice and provide such an amazing hands off experience. They gave us the lay of the land, and set us loose. Lent a helping hand if ever required. The designated sites are very far apart on their land, had to be about 70-100 yards or so, with lush forest between and plenty of room to roam around. The animals are so wonderful, and it's quite the experience feeding them, something Mina and Tim promote. We had six people, three tents, and had more space than we needed in our campsite. They have extra tables, chairs and carts. Bring biodegradable dish soap and sink receptacles for you dishes. They make some pretty cool art and silk screening designs that you can buy too. All around would go back, and will go back soon.
This was a perfect location for a much needed getaway for me, my husband, and our 2 pups. We appreciated the privacy of the site, it was well kept, and shaded by beautiful trees.
Mina & Tim are excellent hosts as well, they are so helpful and kind! Looking forward to visiting this place again.
A farm paradise we truly appreciate
Mina and Tim were great and the site was just what we wanted. Private, shaded, secluded, and special. Hosts were so welcoming and invited us to use so much of the property, peek at baby chicks, shower outdoors in the veggie garden, feed the goats, borrow floats for Potomac River one afternoon. It was truly a lovely getaway from our day to day and very family friendly. We would definitely go back.
Peaceful, private, lovely
Ohhh it was better than our expectations. Mina and Tim were gracious hosts who were readily available by text if we needed them. Their space was perfectly private and well maintained. We borrowed guitars and hand drums, had a fresh basket of produce, and just spent time decompressing from the “real world”. This felt like a magical home away from home. We’d love to come back and bring family- rent out the glamping tents as well as the woodsy pitch your own tent spot and just spend time together on Mina and Tim’s beautifully artistic homestead. Grateful they opened their space up to share.
Nice backyard farm and forest
The hosts are very welcoming and were happy to tour us around their farm. They also leant us a lighter when we forgot ours which was really nice! They let us hand feed the chickens and geese, and they sold us some eggs which was great. We also rented the steel hand drum which was very relaxing. There are 3 campsites total, all at least 100 feet apart. One group of campers was blasting loud dance music even after 1am, which was a bit rude of them. But the the forest where we camped was private and unintruded otherwise! There are tables, chairs, and pretty string lights that turn on when the sun sets at the campsite. Thanks for hosting us!
