If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
I stayed one night overnight here. The host was friendly and met me nearby, then I followed her to the site. It was heavily forested, with a slightly creepy broken-down building on the property (a plus in October!). There wasn't a paved road to the property, but I made it in a car okay. The site itself is on a slope, so be wary if you're bringing a tent. It's a LITTLE close to a road so I heard cars at night, but for the most part it was fine.
Denise was such a kind host. She was quick to respond to messages, was very friendly, and showed us to the campsite.
The site was pretty bare bones, just a bunch of woods, with an abandoned house, as described.
Decent spot to campout with enough space to ride around on dirtbikes and 4wheelers. I wouldn’t recommend it just for riding but if you want a place to camp and let the little ones ride around it is great. The site could use some clean up but denise has plans to make it better!
Very inexpensive spot to camp
First off, Denise is nice and also very good with communication. Also, the price is very low. Her and her husband are saving money to eventually rebuild on the land so this is one of the ways they are raising money.
There are definitely some areas of improvement. Still a lot of cleanup work needs to be done on the site and there isn’t much to choose from for a level space. It’s in the woods but near the main road so you aren’t too far back.
I was going on a fishing charter out of Deale in the early morning and this was only 15 min away.
