Our part of the Young Lake Road is on the upland slopes of an unnamed mountain rising almost 1,000 feet on the highest point of our land. Our area was once home to old growth forests, potato farms and back-to-the-landers, and is now called home a few families and residents. Our 35-acre homestead includes a grove of old growth spruce, 20 acres of upland forest, vernal ponds and streams, and wildflower meadows. We are converting sections of open land into perennial gardens and fruit orchards.
