You can drive right up to this camping spot. Set up your tent, unpack your groceries and lounge chairs and get ready to enjoy your "Away" time. The town of South Berwick and a market is about a mile and a half away in case you need S'mores Supplies. There are also some restaurants in the area if you'd rather not cook or you have rainy days. There is Yorks Wild Animal Kingdom only a half hour away and a couple of parks to explore for a day trip.

There are beaches and coastline starting about 12 miles away.  Short Sands and Long Sands at York Beach. To the South following route 1, in NH, there's Rye beach, and Wallis Sands, then further south you'll come to Hampton Beach.

There is potable water at the spigot next to the drive near the BnB cottage, bring your own containers for drinking, washing dishes and showering. A "luggable Loo" and a privacy surround is on site. (The surround doubles as a portable shower tent.) I ask that you please pack out your bio waste and any trash. A tin trash can is available at the campsite also.

There's a small fire pit, but please, no bon fires! If there has been drought conditions, I would probably ask that no fires be built. Just in case--bring your camp stove.

You can lay a blanket out in the field on a new moon night and count the stars until morning and beyond.

And just so there are no surprises... A railroad track does run across the field from the tent site. There is a tree-line buffer, but you might just be able to count the cars from your tent through the leaves when the occasional train goes by. (My house is 50 feet from the tracks and we have lived here for 18 years. ("Train? What train?")

If you have any questions or concerns, please do inquire before hand, I am usually quite prompt in answering all texts.

The site was as described and we had a really nice stay. Gail was very responsive. The train is definitely right there and does come through several times during the night, but other than that it's a great site!
