Five acres of land was for sale with 11 different rustic but well constructed buildings in a woodland setting right off Moosehead Trail Hwy in Waldo County, Maine.  It is close to the road but still shrouded in a green natural hard- and softwood mix that gives the perception of remoteness and privacy.  We bought it and love being here... ...And there are cabins to share.

Birds' Nest Cabin
Perfect respite in the woods
This is quite honestly my favorite guest house I’ve ever stayed in. It’s cozy and lovely with details all around that show Jim and Doreen’s attention and care. I’m so pleased with the experience and expect that we will return. Thank you!

Birds' Nest Cabin
Cute Cabin in the Woods
Jim's cabin was cozy and cute. We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was super tidy and clean and had plenty accomodations to make us feel at home. The property is pretty, being surrounded by trees and other cute cabins and such. But we felt plenty of privacy and comfort to relax. Would recommend!

Hide-a-way Cabin
Loved it!
We weren’t sure what to expect, but The Village was a great little spot. It’s rustic, quiet, and easily accessible. The Hide-a-way Cabin was very clean, cute, and had all the amenities listed. The bed is narrow (as indicated), but the two of us slept well. It’s a great space to get away and relax.

Hide-a-way Cabin
The cabin was clean and well made. The site was near the road and had other cabins nearby. The host was available and nice.

Hide-a-way Cabin
The cabin is very cute and comfortable and was equipped with a coffee maker and the necessities to cook. Because no one was in the other cabin, we enjoyed A fire in the fire pit. The outhouse is clean. Jimarrived shortly after we did and was very welcoming The negative is the 2nd cabin and other buildings are clustered together and they are near the road so you can hear the traffic

Hide-a-way Cabin
We had a lovely stay!
Jim and Doreen have a beautiful property and the cabins are super cute clean and comfy. They were amazing hosts super accommodating and friendly And made some great suggestions as far as things to do in the area.. The property is conveniently loacated to many beautiful hiking trails. Our favorite was Sears island about 20min away. We also really enjoyed the local co-op in Jackson, great ice coffee! Super close to Belfast if you want to eat outside and do a little shopping with your dog it’s a very dog friendly town. We will definitely be back, it was the perfect weekend getaway!
