We live near a lot of wooded trails that are frequented by ATVs in the warm months.
We have tons of turkeys with babies at this time and saw a rabbit on our driveway yesterday. We have had coyotes, bears, deer a...Read more
This is a great Hipcamp to experience the colors of fall—watch the leaves change and autumn come to life.

Stunning property with great hosts
This was my first hipcamp trip and I didn’t know what to expect. My husband and I and our two hound dogs made a last minute reservation and were easily accommodated.
The communication was great and when we arrived we were showed to several spots, we picked the furthest because, having hound dogs, they can get loud. It was supposed to be warm that weekend and turned out cold, but that’s to be expected in New England — Robert and Jennifer gave us recommendations on places to go that we’re dog friendly and checked in on us each day to see if we needed anything. It was very non-invasive and I felt like we had a lot of privacy. There are a ton of trees on the property and a creek right next to where we set up our tent. They have lots of property in the back to hike around in and trails off of the main road as well. The location is great and close to Old Orchard and Kenbunkport.
I can’t wait to come back in the late spring or early summer when all of those trees have a chance to fill out. It was gorgeous as it was and I know the foliage will make it an even more stunning place to stay. I would absolutely recommend this site and may even plan a visit sooner than the then.
Isolated road but still a good loca
I was very surprised they only charged what they charged. I exchanged texts with them several times and they always replied quickly and professionally.I highly reccommend their site as there was plenty of room,a very isolated road yet within a few miles of the Town center with all the shops and amenities necessary.Ill gladly come back if and when I'm in the area.
Nice camping experience
Gracious, polite hosts. Private level location. Reasonable rates. Voracious mosquitos, but it is Maine. Will be interesting to see how this camp is developed in the future. Enjoyed my stay, would do it again. Thanks!
Peaceful and secluded, great hosts!
Way better than I expected for the price and description. If you want to visit Portland on a budget this is the place to stay! We loved the site and felt like we were alone in the woods even though there were houses close by. Robert and Jen are wonderful and even refunded us for one of our nights when we decided to leave early due to heat! I recommend this to everyone!
Great stay at their nice decided little shady spot. It’s down a quiet dirt lane and surrounded by trees. Also, they were great at communicating with me, and I appreciated being able to book on short notice.
Quiet, serene camp site
Swamp grass is a very good spot for car camping or tent camping. The second site is actually softer on the ground than the first spot although we slept well in both. The hosts are super friendly and even invited us to pick some wild blueberries that were around. Lots of firewood around to burn and easy to set up hammocks and rain flys.
I had a great stay! Directions were easy to follow to the campsite, which was private from both the house and the other campsite but close enough to easily connect if needed. Robert and Jennifer were also helpful with recommendations for places to visit nearby. Great spot and great price if you're in the area!
