Now a tiny dirt road, with ultimate privacy, Stone Hill was once a bustling 'highway' for folks traveling by horse and carriage as early as the 1700's and before then the lush valley was a thriving home for the Abenaki Tribe.
This land is a gorgeous example of Maine's pristine nature and is full of native plants, fungi, and animals that we share the space with!
The cabin is a cute little space made from recycled materials, creative building skills, and a whole lot of love. Nothing fancy by any means, just a fun spot to hide away with loved ones! We celebrate the simple things in life here. It's perfect for couples, small families, or upto 4 guests in 2 beds.
Take a walk out the door into the woods, play down by the stream- have a campfire- or spend the day with your nose in a good book. The loft is fully stocked with paints and brushes if you're feeling the flow! It's just a great place to let go, and relax!
The sky is intense- the owls are loud, and there is plenty to do within a short drive incase ya get cabin fever and want to get back into the world for some fun!
Make sure to save some time to take a paddle on the canoe, kayaks, or paddleboard that we leave down at a nearby pond for you!
As fellow travelers, We have been blessed to have stayed in some cool places in our adventures- and now it's our chance to share our little slice of nature paradise with others!

The cabin sits on top of a hill, overlooking the forest, with an adorable little porch off the main bedroom!
We welcome well behaved pets, and feral children- but it is your responsibility to keep them safe and on leash!
We built this cabin ourselves, and it isn’t anything fancy, but boy is she nice to wake up in! We used over 80% recycled materials during the build, and our landscape is full of native perennials, trees, and herbs that we have introduced to the land! We aim to live WITH nature, appreciate the small things in life! We hope you will see the beauty in it during your stay! It’s like off-grid living with the luxury of power and A/C.
Enjoy the firepit responsibly in the side yard, and stay up late to watch the dark sky and experience a milky way that you just cant get in cities! Drop the provided Canoe, kayaks, or paddleboard in the water down at a nearby pond, just under a mile away. (boats are already down there) Take a sunset cruise to our favorite spot- and scope the mountain views that span all the way to the white mountains in New Hampshire while watching the sunset and the colors explode over the valley! Lake st George, the 4th largest spring fed Lake in Maine is only 10 minutes away, and is Prime fishing year round! (plus a ton of others nearby) The coast, fine dining, and entertainment in super cute town of Belfast is only 30 minutes, and the same for big box stores in the other direction. There are multiple disc golf course in the area! As well as an awesome brewery in town, and Dispensaries nearby for adults! We are a great stopping point on the way to Acadia, and if you aren't going that far- lots of our guests wake up early to take a day-trip there!
If you would like to book the entire property to use for additional campsites for more groups- just ask! We have a few sites throughout the woods- in the case you’re traveling with friends!
