Dispersed meadow camping with coastal views and blueberries (seasonal)! Located at approximately 272 Youngs Cove Rd. in Pembroke, ME (off of Leighton Point Rd.) Follow signs for U-PICK Blueberries. Blueberry Land is about 2 miles from our other sites at Smithereen Farm.

The camping spots are simple, mowed areas, easy to access from the grass mowed parking lot / drive way that leads up the hill from the road. This is a rustic site -- there is no water or facilities on site (we will soon install a Bison Pump in the well that we found!). If you need more facilities you can visit our main farm on Leighton Point Road where we have a hot shower, composting toilet and outdoor sink (**shared kitchen is currently closed to guests due to Covid-19**). If you want it quieter we suggest the blueberry land, it gets the most glorious warm afternoon light. If you want it more social we suggest the Smithereen Farm land.

Camp out under the spruce trees looking out at the twinkling Young’s Cove. We offer 4 dispersed camping spots here at Smithereen Farm’s blueberry land, with beautiful walking, biking and canoeing in every direction. Blueberry bushes are low growing, covered in flowers in spring and then berries in summer, turning bright bright red in the fall when kissed by frost. Our blueberries are certified organic by MOFGA and surrounded by birch, fir, spruce and flowering perennial beds to improve insect habitat. The parcel is about 60 acres and all the surrounding farms are mostly forested too. Lots of wildlife! So don’t leave any food out or you may find a bear in your campfire pit!

Great location! GPS took us right there and the pictures helped (for the sign that’s posted on the tree at the entrance). Severine (the host) was very responsive to last minute booking and recommendations on the area. Loved the spot so much we booked it for another night!

The blueberry field was a lovely site. Peaceful. Primitive without an outhouse but suited us fine. We heard porcupines & coyotes. The other campers set up a comfortable distance away. The view is the field, woods, and a few apple trees. A short drive to see the bay and beautiful Reversing Falls.

Wonderful spot! Very secluded and spaced nicely from the other few spots. Not far from town and surrounding attractions but very worth it. I was fortunate enough to have the entire field to myself for the 2 nights I stayed but unfortunate enough to miss blueberry picking season, but thats the least to say.

The blueberry patch was a perfect base to go explore the area. Don’t expect anything fancy, this is a primitive site with no facilities. But we saw almost no one the whole time — very private. I don’t think you’d want to stay there if you’re looking for a place to hang out all day, as it is right in the sun, etc., but it was excellent as a base.

Took me a minute to find the land, but once I did I was ecstatic. The host was very helpful in getting my on the right track after I accidentally drove by the road.

Drive past the driveway for 272 (it’s very clearly marked) and there will be a second dirt road on your left just after it.

The land itself is private, well kept, and absolutely glorious. I would definitely recommend it if you like solitude while you camp.

Keep an eye out for wildlife, too. Lots of cool critters roaming around!

The site was really nice and well kept, on beautiful land, but the directions were really tough and didn’t see accurate (at least from the direction we were coming from). We ended up going over to the main farm to get it all sorted out, but the woman who was there wasnt the hipcamp host and didn’t really help with the directions. Once we finally found it, it was a pleasant night with a great view of the stars, but definitely check in about where exactly it is before you get to the area.

This was a lovely spot to camp in September. A mowed grassy section next to a blueberry field on a very pretty peninsula. It felt just private and secluded enough without being too far out. The signage to find the field could be improved, as we were a little confused arriving, but nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Thanks Severine!
