Rob and Peggy were so welcoming and had so much to offer! My dad and I had a great stay on their beautiful property and loved waking up to the sunrise views over the bay!

Great private spot down by the water exceeding all expectations! Perfect for anyone desiring beautiful and secluded getaway. We bought a lobster a few miles away and Rob & Peggy lent us the tools needed to enjoy our first boil!

How to even put this place into words? I felt like I had my own little slice of heaven all to myself. I watched the sunrise over the bay each morning and the tides flowing in and out each day. And then there was the full moon rising over the water! This place is a true gem! If you want to get out of the hustle of Acadia and have the beauties this area holds right in front of you, here you go. It’s a world away and yet still close to Acadia and great hiking. I enjoyed exploring the little towns that were near by too. I paddle boarded and kayaked right off the beach with amazing little bays to explore. Peggy and Rob were also a key ingredient in making this place extra special. They are truly kind, caring, gentle folks that gave me space but we’re also there if I needed anything or to share some stories. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and plan to come back for sure!
Great roadway coming in. Site view just amazing. Ground rough and dusty at site. Needs some chips or other. Hosts new at this so trying to get it right. Printed directions for everything. Waiting for me. Moving brush around the site at 5:30 pm. Peggy shared some tomatoes. Very expensive, too.
We booked Rainbow's End for our 4-day Acadia Adventure and we were far from disappointed. Besides the campsite being the perfect setup and location for our daily travels, the real treasure was meeting and speaking with Rob and Peggy—these two are doing life right and are such an inspiration.
Upon arrival Rob and Peggy greeted us with a welcome kit of firewood and personally showed us to our campsite—Peaches Point. It was right by the water which made launching our inflatable kayak very convenient and had the most amazing firepit that featured cutouts of stars and moons which lit up beautifully at night. At the campsite a lobster trap made the perfect table for all of our food prep and nearby was the cleanest porta potty we've ever seen. You are free to search the property for wood or purchase pre-cut logs on-site. We had two tents which we pitched on the sanded areas of the site that provided an extra bit of cushion.
As mentioned, Rainbow's End is in a great area with awesome antique shops, farms, restaurants and of course Acadia hiking trails nearby. Rob and Peggy gave us great recommendations for where to get lobster rolls and we also got a dozen duck eggs from a nearby farm—delicious!
Rob and Peggy were kind enough to show us around the campgrounds—it was wonderful to hear what made them start a campground in Maine and their big plans and dreams for Rainbow's End. We couldn't be more excited for them and will definitely be back!
Thank you Rob and Peggy!
