Moose Ridge Wild is located in the Western Mountains just off Rt 26 (Map 18-C1 in the Maine Gazetteer) in Upton, Maine. We are six miles from Grafton Notch State Park and three miles from Lake Umbagog and the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge.   We offer shuttle service to our location for hikers on the Appalachain Trail at Grafton Notch and East B Hill Rd.

Campers may choose one of three 10x10 platforms to pitch their tent on.  Campers may drive up to the platforms to unload when conditions allow. The hand pump artesian well and the outhouse are located a short distance from the platforms at the parking lot.  A large community fire pit with grates for cooking is located midway between the parking lot and platforms.

There are numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation in the area. Public Hunting and Fishing, Hiking, Winter Sports, Paddling and Boating opportunities are all nearby. We have direct access to miles of atv and snowmobile trails. We teach many different outdoor, bushcraft, and primitive skills classes thru the Moose Ridge Wilderness School located on the property.  We also offer Professional Guide Service for the variety of Recreation and Fishing opportunities in the area.

We loved our stay there. Tim was very accommodating and friendly. He knew a lot of trails and paddling destinations in the area. The tent platforms made it comfortable sleeping and kept us high and dry off the ground.
A beautiful communal firepit for relaxing at and cooking over the supplied grate. The view was gorgeous at the end of the view trail. We were at peak fall color when there

Nice place to camp. Great location and our host was very welcoming. The fire pit they have is amazing. The sites are a little close to one another, but overall it’s fairly private. Everything was well cared for. The artesian spring water was fantastic. It’s so good we brought some home with us.

What an awesome spot. Timothy was a kind, knowledgeable and helpful host and the property was fantastic. Make sure to take a photo of the directions because you won’t have cell service, which these days is glorious!
