Across from Montsweag Brook is the Chewonki Campus, a 400-acre peninsula in midcoast Maine, with three and a half miles of stunning rocky coastline, and is a recognized model for sustainable management of natural resources. Yet, all you see is undeveloped land. Paddle, sail, or small motor from the 7 acres to the Back River, Sheepscot River, Gulf of Maine, Atlantic Ocean.
This property is undeveloped, there is no road. It is a 10 minute walk to the water, which is tidal. The driveway is narrow but long. You can camp in the driveway or at the water. To get to the water, you must walk through the woods.
Look for Montsweag Brook and Maine Coast Railroad tracks on a map or chart for exact location. Woolwich is between Bath, Wiscassett, and Westport Island and not far from Boothbay Harbor.

Very nice surprise
Super private, dogs loved it. I loved the view and the neighbor, they were deadly quiet ;). The only thing i would change is a better indication to go to the camp. It was hard to find in the dark.
Cemetery is cool and the experience may be better if you find your way down there during the daylight as after dark the woods become difficult to navigate
We were unable to find the driveway. We called Susan and she directed us to a totally overgrown driveway. She said she hadn't been there in some time and wasn't even the owner. We were unable to stay there as we weren't able to access the driveway at all.
It was a little tricky finding the site, but a quick call to Susan sorted it out. It was very secluded and peaceful. Nestled between the water and an ancient graveyard, it was an interesting location.
