Directions to the camp site were sparse. Also, there was an error in the address number at the time we booked and arrived leading to about an hour delay finding the site. There is little cell coverage at the site so this required a 20 minute detour to find service to call our host. He answered right away and was helpful, providing directions and the correct address.
The property/site is at the top of a small hill after a short, winding driveway.
Overall our stay was uneventful. We were able to find level ground to setup and it was very quiet. The mosquitos were fierce, but this is to be expected given the property's close proximity to the water. I chaulk the issues we had up to our host being new to Hipcamp and hope that the listing will get updated with better directions, the correct address and more photos. I would text or call the host ahead of time to confirm details.
Private & pleasant
Lovely spot up a steep & winding dirt driveway hidden away. Michael was very responsive. A 10 minute drive from downtown Fryeburg if you want to float the Saco. Another 10 minute drive in the other direction to hike the small but rewarding Mt. Cutler.
