The camp site is in the feild/lawn/woods of your choosing on my land near my home. The oceanfront property is off a swimmable sand beach on Frenchman's Bay and immediately adjacent to several miles of well maintained hiking trails on a quiet 68-acre Nature Preserve which boasts a variety of terrains and tree species in its forests.

It is a couple minutes walk from the main house where I live with no neighbors around on either side a huge swathe of preserve-- thus peaceful tranquility dusk til dawn. From the beach are near-panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and islands, facing west for spectacular sunset views. Great stargazing. It is truly a gem. To access the beach you'll walk up the driveway to the trailhead and down through the forest.

Located ~30 minutes from the city of Ellsworth, 15 minutes from the town of Winter Harbor, 15 min from the Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National Park, and 40 minutes from Acadia on Mount Desert Island--away from the noise and crowds of the parks and large noisy campgrounds... but just a short drive from the area's world-class views, scenic drives, hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking and fresh water pond swimming holes and granite quarries.

This is a pack-in pack-out leave-no-trace piece of land; there are no trash facilities or dumpsters, take your trash with you. There will be a portopotty on site. Dogs must be on leash. I have outdoor cats that may sometimes roam, but they are sweethearts. This is NOT an oceanfront campsite, but the ocean is a short walk away.

There is a home and may be other campers on the large property approximately a quarter to a third of a mile away BUT NOT within earshot or eyeshot, so you'll have some privacy and find spot to yourself.  Please note that you will be near a shared portopotty. If you choose to use the trails, there will be hikers on the trails of the preserve during the day as I do not own the preserve land that surrounds my properties-- it is open to the public but generally very quiet 90% of the time. You may hear some quiet music or distant chatter from my home. Please keep mindful quiet hours and keep merriment to a minimum 10pm-7am. Please clear it with me first and disclose if you have young, small, crying children.

This site can be as deep into the woods as you would like (please no fires in the woods as you will be camping in the woods or a clearing, if you wish to camp on the lawn with the INSANE view that's doable too please inq w me first (no fires there and no children please ). There's some flexibility here. No driving onto the beach unless you're unloading canoes/kayaks. Please bring a camp stove or charcoal grill for cooking or heating food. You may have a fire in the clearing away from the trees if you are able to bring your own firepit and are an experienced camper well versed in fire safety, but please clear this with me first.
